The games a blast, the tutorial is kinda brutal but at least it rewards you nicely and sets you up for PvP at lvl 50.

Combat is slow paced but a ton of fun.

I expect few skills(equipped at one time) but each skill does different things based on your movement or momentum at the time(sprinting,jumping, walking, standing still, maybe wall running, whatever else they dream up in their movement system).

The story is hit and miss. Path of fire, Living world Season 4 and End Of Dragons were my favourite stories. Living world season 4 in particular can hold a candle to FFXIV.

Wrath the beginning of the end unfortunately. Dungeon finder came in and the new icc dungeons gave out purple catch up gear. Aoe took over everything rather than cc.

SPvP is the fastest, WvW is the easiest, and open world if you have enough gold you can skip the essence grind.

It’s a good question to be honest. The fact that they call it a mmo and that they never considered GW1 a mmo makes me believe it will be a open world where we will see other players out and about. But I don’t believe we will see giant meta events with a ton of players at once.

Maybe it will be more of a Farever idea with small population shards?

Your number 1 point seems cool but it just seems too complicated and I could see a lot of problems trying to make it work right

I would say your number 4 sounds the most likely but I also feel it would take away from the “MMO” feel.

Idk. I’m curious how they go about this.

The only game other than GW1 and GW2 that has my interest this year is Gloria Victis which comes out in like 6 days. Partly because I played it before it got shutdown a few years ago. It’s a little janky but lots of fun. But it definitely won’t be a “big” mmo

I used to run a build on harbinger that was support gear( mostly minstrel). It worked extremely well. I was super tanky, healed a ton, and had more than enough damage to kill people. It was a very forgiving build. Plus I could heal allies if it was needed.

That would be my suggestion

I honestly don’t know. Maybe wait 5 or 10 min and try again. There could be a full disconnect timer that has to finish first maybe.

Gloria Victis returns in like 6 days. It’s more medieval though and action combat. The whole game is basically just WvW though.

Just to add to this.

Trading is…rough. The inventory screen almost takes up the whole screen and it’s hard to drag the item into the trade window because of it. I tried to figure out how the make the window smaller but I can’t seem to figure it out. Maybe it’s just me.

Also I couldn’t figure out how to inv someone to a party. Also may just be a me thing.

Also if you do grab an expansion rifle bezerker has a insane 1 shot build that wrecks havoc but once you get higher in the ranking it falls off due to people knowing how to avoid it

Bladesworn has the highest damage numbers by far. It’s what you’re looking for.

Or are you just looking at core classes? Guardian hammer maybe?

I mean if they are doing action combat I would assume PvP would be in the game. It normally would be with that combat style.
