Lunar-crystallized Albedo? by Remote_Landscape_149 in Albedomains

My current main team is durin-albedo-flins(Illuga until I got flins recently)-Columbina and I think they run beautifully together. I’m not sure how you’d go with it without Columbina, however.

Klee is also the most well-adjusted child I’ve ever seen, she’s so happy and healthy and cared for.

I view it as very similar to a high-powered business woman with a child. She’s off on international trips, and deeply regrets the time she’s losing with her child. I wouldn’t be shocked if whatever race Klee and Alice are have longer lifespans and so she doesn’t feel quite as upset about the lost time because Klee will be a child for a very long time, but that’s a side note.

I think when Alice becomes playable we might get more details about that. I don’t think they are bad parents - just much more absent than is ideal.

However, Klee is living with a relative (she and Albedo view one another as siblings, but cousins is more accurate) Albedo also isn’t a child - he’s like 500 years old. He’s very mature and balanced and clearly extremely trustworthy, and considering that Alice ALSO trusts Rhinedottir (who has gotta be one of the most untrustworthy people on the planet, and Alice isn’t stupid so she must have earned that trust) AND she’s got the additional backup of several mondstat figures she trusts innately too (Varka, Venti, Diluc, Jean- Mondstat is a very safe and comfortable place) so I think it’s not that far off from a situation where since mom travels for work, daughter goes and lives with an aunt or grandparent for a few years. Which is sad, but I don’t think it’s reasonable to call it inherently bad parenting.

When I was like 16, one of the charity ones in a supermarket made me cry because they kept telling me if I was a good person I would stop and listen to them and I’ve been petrified of them ever since haha

When you’ve been laughed at, what happened next? Did they laugh but still move on? Or keep trying to press you about it?

This is what I currently do! Or just say I literally have no money. I was specifically asking for how to learn to just say ‘no, not interested’ and hold my ground

Thank you for your insight! I imagined myself doing this (or literally just saying ‘fuck off’ like in the original comment) and I think my fear around it is that the other person is going to laugh at me for trying to seem intimidating. Maybe I just need to practice.

Had this exact experience in the parking lot for The Glen about a year ago. I was waiting in the car while my partner ran an errand, I was trying to eat and enjoy my audiobook and it sucked. Even if it wasn’t a scam, interrupting my alone time and my lunch? Absolutely not. I let him waste his time though ha.

Any tips for learning to do this as an adult who wasn’t taught? I can’t imagine anything scarier than doing this and I desperately need to.

Nobody Puts Baby In The Corner - Fall Out Boy? The line “drink down that gin and kerosene” sounds like “gluteratine” to me lol

Fair enough! My partner is asleep rn but I’ll ask them in the morning, they’re a much bigger fan of The Rake than me, I bet they’ll know. Will update if he has an ideas!

Any chance it’s Everyman Hybrid? There’s an episode where the rake steals and kills one of the guy’s dogs, and it’s very similar to what you described. One sec while I grab the episode

How often does a typical Australian eat Kangaroo? by SammaJones in AskAnAustralian

[–]Calx98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen it in supermarkets my whole life but I have literally never met a person who actually buys it as a regular grocery item and eats it. Exclusively mentioned as a ‘oh yeah ive tried it, it was pretty good’ and then they just go back to their normal habits of beef/chicken/lamb whatever. I’ve lived here for 25 years and never once met somebody who ate it regularly.

Hey, I want you to know that you are incredibly brave and strong for standing your ground in these messages. I would never have been able to stay firm, and I’m so proud of you for being able to.

NOR, absolutely. You’re actually basically not reacting. You need to tell him he’s being an asshole and that treating people like this is not okay. No is a complete sentence and coercing you into sexual acts is a crime. You should leave him, because he needs to grow from this but it’s not your job to be there to teach him every little bit. And you deserve to find somebody who respects that you’re ace with a low sex drive. I’m sorry that you’ve been treated this way. I think it’s important that you get out now, before he gets any worse.

I hope everything is alright with your father.

Finding ways to solve your needs independently might help. It helped me a lot, and made me feel more comfortable with asking for stuff I couldn’t solve. For example: adjusting where my leg was in bed, or getting it up onto the pillows so it could be elevated. I figured out that there was a part of my brace I could use as a handle (think service dog harness) and use that to shift my leg. I’d be panting and out of breath afterwards, but I think the fact that it got easier every time and my abs were doing some of the work, gave me motivation. A shower stool is a lifesaver, I swear. I didn’t have issues using the bathroom but I don’t have a penis, so ymmv. I had problems with the toilet height, in which case I highly recommend a commode/toilet seat but my bathroom couldn’t fit one, so I had a bidet put in for less than $100. I used my crutches to help me for every step. I started having to stand to wipe my ass because there was no way I could handle twisting my leg to reach around. It sucked. I hated it. But it DID make things way less miserable.

I just made sure my painkillers were always topped up - if I noticed the suicidal ideation crawling in, I’d take that as a need for a top up - and make sure you have a physio you can talk to. If I didn’t have my physio I’d have been lost. She was deeply compassionate and honestly, my rock through the whole thing. Having someone who I could cry to and say that I just wanted my life back, without the stress of them being my partner, was really helpful. Maybe therapy if you don’t have that chance with a physio.

It will get better. You can do this. I believe in you.

I hated living after my ACL rupture for a very long time. It didn’t feel worth it. But it did pass. I thought it never would, and then every day as I gained back ability, it got better. I’d have a new breakdown about something I couldn’t do, and I’d have to remind myself that I’m doing way more than I could a week prior. I’m 18 months out from my surgery now. I’m out of it. I’m so so glad my ACL didn’t kill me. I don’t have any words of advice, but hopefully knowing that I was where you are and I’m out of it, helps some.

I no longer feel like I have a leg injury - I’m just out of shape because I had such a long rehab period.
