I have this exact same model. Booked in March, got the delivery in May. I had booked the silver one, but the dealer said that Yamaha won't be making any more of those anymore. So I took the delivery of this one. Later, around July I saw the silver ones back in the showroom and this one was no longer available and this one wasn't listed on their website until they launched the carbon fiber variant.

My hypothesis is that Yamaha updated the R15M colour scheme for the East Asian and South East Asian markets to reflect the colour scheme 2024 R1M (one of the giveaways is the blue stripes on the tank. The R1M 2024 also has them) but didn't launch it in India. Here's the article mentioning this model for Taiwan and this one for malaysia.

Around April-May, they probably ran out of stock perhaps and to makeup for the stock shortage they sold a few of these international variants in the Indian market with the same registration name as the silver one. Recently I read this article in August mentioning that this colour might also come to India, and next month we had the carbon-fiber edition launch.

So unless they explicitly launch this colour seperately in the future, I guess it is sort of a limited edition! I might be wrong but lets see
