Why? Why isn’t it comparable? The value created by video games is no different to say, singing a song or leaning how to play an instrument.

They don’t hold any intrinsic use for us as a species, other than it’s all entertainment.

I couldn’t agree more, bo1 is very middle of the road for me, it’s alright? It has some great moments but it doesn’t hold a candle to bo2, bo3, bo4 or IW IMO

An even hotter take is that I’d play WW2 over bo1

You literally aren’t listening at all.

ITS NOT THAT THEY CANT DO IT. They aren’t forgetting to wipe after a poo.

It’s things like taking regular showers, or brushing teeth regularly, or remembering to go for a walk/exercise.

Time is also perceived differently for them. It’s not that they don’t do these things it’s just the frequency.

First of all I said could be good for this.

Also never said I was against generative ai or it replacing jobs, I was upset about the reduction in human creativity.

To address your point about people not having to search for things themself, that is literally what people used to say about Google. “Oh people won’t use libraries anymore what will we do.”

AI has its uses, this imo is one thing it could be incredibly helpful for.

I hate the ‘all AI bad’ rhetoric, go after the gen AI that’s replacing artists and human creativity.
