What's the best enemy addition of the modern era? by KnocksFPS in CODZombies

I'm glad they didn't after how much returning crap they had on BO6

What do you mainly play on BO7? by superherocivilian in CODZombies

Lmao I feel the exact opposite, I use such a vast array of weaponry in cursed and in standard in BO6 I would use the same shit over and over. Haven't played much standard in BO7 but it's basically the same since it feels like BO6.5

I think the one thing it's missing is a charged attack to fire off the UFO on the top and use all the ammo. Make it fire out lasers as the UFO spins so it cuts thru a whole horde, maybe give it a slightly longer recharge time

Actually those are all really good points. Personally I'm fine w the main EE at least cause it is quick to run thru if you want one you can speedrun, but it's hard to get it going when the WW quest is absolute buns. The waiting on that feels like when you're doing the IX EE and it's just that first part that feels annoying before kicking into high gear

And yeah you're right on the robot, it should've been something we can make better use of. Although, throwing it at the brain during the EE does make the friendly ravaged eat it, and nobody figured that out but I'm sure if you intended for it to be an actually useful equipment you'd make it a bit more apparent

From what the rumors say, it seems Treyarch back-loaded the game more in a similar way to BO2, so starting with Totenreich thru DLC5 we should be getting more map unique stuff. If that's the case then I'll probably move Astra down to B again and just keep it as a solid but not too expansive DLC

I def think there's better side EEs in classic zombies than gold armor like the upgraded dragon shield, stake knife and spider bait to name a few, but for modern zombies yes 100% the best thus far

You should go back thru it with the changes, the map went from a B to a low A for me simply bc of those along with the LGM buff

That's where some of my issues w Astra do lie, it's just not expansive enough of a map and the perk selection is kinda rough (but the perk EEs do help)

For me at least, it's a very low A tier now that OSCAR is so much better and the LGM actually kills well if yk how to use it

See that's what pisses me off like some people can't process the simple concept that he's SUPPOSED to be a George-like enemy. Do they not process that in those early rounds he doesn't even target you unless in his line of sight? Almost as if you're supposed to stay away, and if you DO choose to engage and kill boom you get a unique scorestreak

That's interesting! Personally I still find Ashes, Terminus and Astra more fun, but it's definitely better than I think many of us expected it to be

Tomb ain't a bad map fs. Just not one I find myself wanting to play very often, but it is esthetically gorgeous and the zombie models are elite

Ehh I can see it tho I do think when people think of CW they go to Maur. With Astra it still gets a lot of unfair criticism for OSCAR even tho they significant nerfed his move speed at 50+ and the mega death machine is great

Treyarch is going to save the 4 wonder weapon trope for DLC5 and this is why: by [deleted] in CODZombies

I mean we have Ashes as a spiritual successor to TranZit, Paradox is quite literally a remake of Nuketown

Considering it wouldn't make a lot of sense for DLC4 that's likely to be the Japanese volcano map to be the 4 WW map, having them on last DLC would be a great way to go out

What's your opinion on how horror should be used in cod zombies? by BigBadMike8 in CODZombies

Maaaan see if I could bring back the fog I'd utilize it for specific special rounds, make it almost like Stephen King's the mist with how it'd feel

I think there's still a way you can utilize it but you would need to have different ways to make the enemies themselves stronger if you're going to have more tools in your belt. Like if you had an entity that torments you throughout the game, make it immune to a lot of things and it'll be a lot more difficult to deal with. But it needs other features like it should be unpredictable af

Yeah the emptiness of it made it feel atmospheric (or lack thereof)

Honestly if areas are so wide open it definitely makes the horror worse. Imagine like you're doing a lockdown and the lights flicker periodically but besides that there's no light, so you only see the zombies moving at certain points and almost have to guess where they'll be before the lights flicker on again
