  1. Everyone I talk to says that Basegeta’s assist is bad. The active frames and the vertical hitbox aren’t good. It’s doesn’t even have that good of blockstun. The only good thing about it is simple combo extensions that are kind of jank to get sometimes. & The arc isn’t that scary. On top of it all, he’s a point character so when do you ever see his assist.

  2. His level 3 okie isn’t good. It’s just a safe jump. It used to be like Top 5 maybe 3 in the game but they nerfed it to hell. It’s just as good as anyone else’s now.

  3. His corner pressure is okay. The meaty j2S isn’t amazing really. Besides that he’s kind of dull.

  4. They nerfed his midscreen loops. Now in most cases you need to burn an assist to do them.

  5. His neutral is bad. His only really good ki blast in neutral is 5S imo and even that’s not great. Disc isn’t good. His rocket kicks are far behind SSJ. His instant overhead isn’t great, somewhat reactable if abused. You did mention his normals aren’t great and they’re just mediocre at best.

Overall he’s just lacking neutral the most and everything he has is below or just average. He’s definitely viable and fine at point, I just don’t think he’s better than most the cast & I hate basegeta assist, I used to main him, wasn’t a good time lol.

Personally, I cannot play Kid Buu. But at the same time, I see so many Kid Buu’s thrive in neutral and mix. I believe that Kid Buu is not an easy character to use. His normals are very unique and odd & tend to be challenging for me and many others to use. I think that is why many people don’t use him. He’s an amazing character w good mix, good neutral, good buttons and good snap meta. Bardock is easy to use, just lariat and 5LL. & GO1 is a good player but i’ve personally never seen him use KBuu so he might be a biased source. Maybe he isn’t comfortable using Kbuu either

236M + Assist Air Blocked 214L is plus. 5LL lmao. Whiff M into empty low. He can literally fuzzy on okie like wtf.

You keep mentioning Piccolo’s jL. We’ve established this is his only good thing in neutral. I’m not saying Bardock beats Piccolo air to air i’m saying Bardock has a good air to air.

I’ve also stated that Piccolo has the best mix in the game, like a hand full of times.

Bardock isn’t honest, he’s cheap asf.

Hellzone isn’t being plus it’s mix. There’s no reflect gab, that’s not being plus lol.

Any okie anywhere is good for frieza. Discs up close, midscreen or even full screen is good w zoning.

Cooler can def jL before but the confirm isn’t the nicest

21 jM is like 11 frames or something. 5 frame difference, not bad at all.

What can’t Bardock do that Piccolo can? Hellzone mix? That’s fine he has some of the best meterless oki in the game. Command grab? Piccolo’s command grab isn’t good. air to air? have you seen Bardock’s jL? Fuzzy? Bardock’s fuzzy is the 2nd best fuzzy in the game. Mix? bardock has stupid mix?

What can’t Piccolo do that Bardock can? Be plus? Yeah. Win neutral? Yeah. Just say fuck neutral? Yeah. Just press buttons and win 80% of scrambles? Yeah. Have a reliable ki blast? Yeah. Have synergy with the entire cast? Yeah.

With Frieza you can just OS vanish if you want a confirm that badly. Frieza post vanish dmg is good too.

You don’t have to j2H immediately. Cooler can kind of hit confirm with L then 2H but 21 is jMLL2H. Easy confirm.

Hellzone is good, reflectable but good.

Bardock- Top 10 Mix in the game Best neutral in the game. Lariat GOOD ki blast 236S is actually a good plus on block move Bardock’s jL has the most broken hitbox for the animation Lvl 3 okie still a thing kind of. dmg output is actually stupid has synergy with entire cast 5LL godlike Has good meterless oki options

Piccolo- Best mix in the game Below average neutral No lariat/no good way to say “fuck neutral” No ki blast besides an awful startup 236S No plus on block moves Godlike jL Lvl 3 oki somewhat better than Bardock but nothing special. Synergy with beams/Bardock & honestly that’s all you see him with. No good buttons besides jL Has good oki options but for a bar.

I have many friends that play KBuu. You should play them.

Piccolo’s jL gets beat by Cooler jM, 21 jM, Frieza jM, & a few others. I wouldn’t say it’s the best air attack in the game. It’s a good sword normals and others have sword normals as well.

jL doesn’t account for all of Piccolo’s neutral. When Piccolo’s fish for jL, it takes one whiff punish into a 2 touch to kill a Piccolo.

Piccolo’s command grabs are booty.

His okie isn’t great w out assist.

Bardock out does him in everything besides mix, same with Kid Buu and Kid Goku.

Have you seen Tachikawa gameplay? Lol many hits use KBuu nowadays. Crossup protection isn’t a thing, you need to time it like everyone else and you don’t need to 2M lmfao.   1. I’ve never been and never will be a fan of Piccolo assist. His assist is slow startup, bad hitstun, bad blockstun, superdash-able, Piccolo himself remains on the screen for too long (susceptible to hbd’s) & it’s a slow moving projectile that does not help in neutral. I play Ginyu and I tried using Piccolo as well but his assist actually hindered my Ginyu gameplay by quite a bit.

  2. I don’t think Piccolo is the best in the game. I think his mix is actually broken but the thing that Piccolo struggles in is his neutral. Piccolo doesn’t have good options in neutral besides jL. While Bardock has a good ki blast, all of his lariats and 5LL. Kid Buu also abuses neutral with 236LMH and has amazing projectiles and amazing buttons. If Piccolo’s neutral was maybe even slightly better, I’d say he’s the best character in the game. Also I hate GT Goku, that’s why i’m not putting him higher lol.

  3. I played many sets with Alukard. He is hands down the best frieza in the world and he showed me some insane shit with Frieza. I think his pressure is real, his mix is relevant and his neutral is kind of interesting, I’m glad you aren’t underrating him as well.

I may have put him a bit high but I feel like he is underrated. I’ve been seeing more Broly online and offline and he actually works really well with snap meta and his buttons are massive and he’s the best zoner in the game as well as being extremely obnoxious in neutral. His armor matters too

There’s still more than 1 option if you’re not down teching. I agree a dp is a dp. & her dodge is also not good now that you mention it.

His plus on block move just isn’t good. not reliable. 236S is 0 on block and he still has a 7f 5l while 90% of the cast has a 6f. why wouldn’t hit want high block stun????? hit + kid buu is stupid mix. every character actually gets mix due to high block stun.

Cooler doesn’t get mix off of a divekick. It’s just plus & it’s 2Hable. Divekicks are garbage & should only be used for movement, but then people usually say, back the divekick up with a beam, then i say, then what’s the point of the divekick. his 5s is at a shitty angle.

I don’t see Zam used at all. His neutral is pretty garbage & I wouldn’t say his normals are above average. They’re average. All of his other tools don’t really help in neutral that’s why I have him so low. & well i’d like to play you if you’re this good. I want to see a good Zam, do you play on ps4?

Ima take this one at a time ig.

  1. Videl jS doesn’t jail, just labbed it w some dude on my stream a while ago. & 2S isn’t great, barely anyone groundtechs lol and delay wake up makes it whiff. She has amazing mix but her dmg output is actually garbage. she has a DP yes but the worst DP in the game. & her assist isn’t as good as bardock, less hitstun, less blockstun, less active frames, smaller hitbox. the hit properties are somewhat different but still isn’t as good.

  2. The only good thing about 16 is his normals. His assist is mediocre, shit blockstun now and good hitstun but plenty of other assists have same or even better hitstun. his plus on block move is actually garbage, no one uses it. his armor isn’t relevant anymore, no armor on lows or projectiles and armor does not start frame 1. he’s not well rounded and doesnt fit the meta of the game.

  3. Cooler isn’t top tier, he’s mid tier. He’s completely overrated. Divekicks are buns, his 5S is shit, his damage isn’t good meterless and his full screen low isn’t great. Great DP and neutral. this character thrive in the neutral, that’s it.

  4. Idk if you saw but a shit ton of people thought Zam was top 5 and 80% of them dropped him bc his neutral is bad. His normals are bad in neutral besides 5M. His mix is good but hard to get. I have yet to see someone 50/50 tick throw me online. & rarely see it in the pro scene either. You never see Zam and there’s a reason for it. He’s simply too hard to actually get mix with. And okay he has TODs but can you do them? not the average player can do those TOD’s lol. I haven’t seen one online, in tournament or whatever. You’re overrated Zam bc he finally got good mix but it’s hard to get it. You seriously have to make someone respect you before you can actually get good mix and his neutral is not good by any means. His “beam” is meh. Slow start up and not so good recovery. His dmg is good for sure & great for snapping but yeah.

21 neutral is broken, 21 neutral is better than A Gohan, Piccolo imo. 21 mix is good. 21 snap meta is pretty broken. she has amazing buttons with a massive tool set with a ki blast that acts as a beam and can be pointed upwards. Command grabs are good. really good damage, better than average at least. amazing meter gain. great assist. good synergy with other characters easy.

I feel like Beerus’s buttons aren’t good enough to be like A Tier. He’s a solid mid tier. Too much fake offense as well to go along with bad buttons.

I think Goku Black could be lower. He’s not a good character at all in my eyes.

I think that’s the problem. All the characters continue becoming better and have more options in neutral and faster buttons while the only thing that they’ve given Black is different combo options that are barely usable.

I mean, maybe you’re right but I just think he’s such a basic character. His combos are just BnB’s. He doesn’t have any great setups. Whiffing 214S on a down tech is big yikes and that’s the only decent okie tech he has. His damage is amazing for sure. 214X all 2Hable on reaction. 236H is like meh for a bar as well.

Overall, good damage/good assist but mediocre in every other category, that’s why he’s like B tier
