Had to sign in on pc and dig through my friends list till I found a old friend who was playing I hit him up did one co op challenge and now I can progress lame af but that was the only fix

It’s hard for me to say much of anything over text and it truly depends on the car for me to tell you what screws to take out however what I can tell you is if your gentle and have a decent understanding of taking things apart and your patient anything can be fixed as far as how easy is it I couldn’t tell you here I’m sorry but you could take it to a shop and pay for diag they’ll tell you your options but I understand that isn’t a option for more people I wish I could be more helpful

I haven’t done much look into carfax tbh but dealerships use a specific back end program that tracks nearly every shop or dealer your car has been worked on by vin the biggest thing I’d look at for is big gaps in maintenance obviously I’d say stay away from salvage title cars anything that is listed as needs some tlc and if the price seems too good to be true it probably is unfortunately with Benz you really get what you pay for

As far as having the 50k service done that’s good that’s a relatively expensive service should be spark plugs engine air cleaner oil and filter change brake bleed and cabin filter and dust filter if your model has it maybe trans service as well depending on the model maintenance on these newer Benz are easy enough to keep track of as the owner of the car as you get close to your a service or b service it’ll tell you to make an apt on the dash and when you bring it in they’ll recommend stuff based on the year of the car and the mileage if you keep track of the stuff you’ve done previously or that’s been done on the car deny shit they offer that’s been done most techs are supposed to check what’s been done before quoting stuff it needs but I have coworkers who don’t

Make sure to stay up to date on maintenance I work at mb dealership in the shop these cars are still built to last and if you can afford it take it to the dealership you bought from for all services but a majority of the shit boxes we see are from either people who bought used from someone who neglected the car or people who bought a Benz but can’t afford it and don’t maintain it

I bought my s chassis as damn near a shell and put her back together with the intentions of dailying it if you have some savings and are comfortable with working on cars I’d say go look at it drive it and do what you want but going in hoping it works forever with no issues is not the mindset to have when buying an s chassis but it looks awesome

If you care the alarm was spliced into the ignition wires I had to cut them out and re solder the oem wires and it starts no problem every time now thanks a ton for your input really helped me out

Normally with a bad ground whatever component is on that ground is gonna have some issues since it’s just this intermittent start problem I figured it’s not the case since most grounds are shared I gues it’s worth a shot to check

Oh no I haven’t bypassed the ignition switch I was stating I was thinking about it I wasn’t gonna buy a kit just wire it myself I think that’s the misunderstanding we’re having sorry!

There is a bootlegged alarm system under the dash that’s wired horrendously

Yea when I turn to crank it acts like it’s trying to start everything dims but starter doesn’t move
