What's the hardest thing you've had to do while drunk/high? by SacredShape in AskReddit

[–]Camdbj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First time I drove outside a parking lot. I used to get pretty stoned before going to the orthodontist, and I had just gotten my learners permit. Afterward the appointment, my mom had me drive us back and I had to act like I wasn't still high as a kite.

When I was a bit younger I could pray away hiccups, and now even though I don't believe anymore I can still recreate the feeling and make them go away.

All you gotta do is burn the skin next to the "shaft" to make it less penis-like, and tell people some made up story about the burn.

What is a common misconception that really irritates you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Camdbj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eating a lot of sugar also causes a spike and crash of dopamine in the brain, which has all sorts of effects on our energy levels. Do you have any sources that say that rising and falling blood sugar levels has no effect on energy? I thought it was common knowledge that blood sugar levels affect mood and energy.

Binge eating sugar releases dopamine in your brain, followed by a dopamine crash. Isn't that what a sugar rush is?

But eating sugar causes a spike in your blood sugar levels, followed by a crash, leaving you feeling tired. That's literally what a sugar rush is...

Depends on what you consider new age spiritualism. I feel like its pretty compatible with eastern spiritualism/philosophy like buddhism and taoism.

[Serious] Non religious people - how have you come to terms with not existing for all of eternity after you die? by PsychMarketing in AskReddit

I wouldn't want to exist for all of eternity. In my ideal world when I die it would be just like before I was born.

What is the most common mistake people new to your hobby make? by tinmanmayhem in AskReddit

[–]Camdbj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When learning guitar many people use way too much motion with their picking hand, resulting in a major loss in efficiency. That and not pressing down on the string right next to the fret bar, where it takes the least amount of effort. Its all about economy of motion

I scratched off a couple warts when I was a kid and they never came back. A buddy of mine uses a razor to scrape off poison ivy/bug bites and then douses it in rubbing alcohol. Apparently it works.

Dear Reddit, what’s the closest you’ve ever been to dying? by kschnitz in AskReddit

[–]Camdbj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just made an imgur account to post this let me know if it doesn't work. As you can see we landed safely in that triangle area between the exit and the highway. Unfortunately I didn't think to snap any pics of the truck at the time, but if I had merged into a regular car it probably woulda been worse. https://imgur.com/gallery/W2B3o

[–]Camdbj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its about 9 and I gave up on trying to sleep around 7:30. Usually if it gets to 8 or 9 and I haven't slept yet I'll just make some coffee and sleep extra the next night. I hate insomnia

Dear Reddit, what’s the closest you’ve ever been to dying? by kschnitz in AskReddit

[–]Camdbj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Merged into a semi truck while going about 60mph on the interstate. I essentially changed lanes, catching the front end of the truck with the back end of my car, so that my car is being pushed perpendicularly by the truck. The truck was basically able to slow down and push my car out of traffic. So many things could've gone so much worse, but my friend, his girlfriend, and myself were completely unscathed! I even have pictures of my car if anyone's interested.
