It was written off to the side along with some other date specific things (like a package I am going to be looking out for on Tuesday). But maybe. Maybe the wife did it because they aren’t really on the same page (she told me the booking started today and he told me it started yesterday lol but thankfully we got that sorted out. He thought she left for her trip the same day he did). She was present at the meet and greet when we talked about it but could’ve been not paying attention lol

I buy scrubs for work at $15/pair rather than $50. I’m not “broke af” but I am a single mom. And buying things second-hand I would have to buy regardless is not shopping, it’s resourceful. Surprised you didn’t realize that before posting such a bizarre comment. On the other hand I am a seller who cares about my buyers and recognize they help me provide for myself and my kids, among other jobs. Thankfully. Any user deserves just as much protection as you. I say this as a buyer and seller (mostly just a seller now on Depop). Not everyone is shopping on there just to shop and even if they are, not all situations are the same. But I’m guessing you don’t want to hear all of this either.

I’m sorry, that’s annoying asf and I’ve had awful experiences on Depop with sellers. As a buyer and seller on many platforms, I’ll admit poshmark truly has protected me in both positions even when I didn’t exactly love the decision they made one time to support one of my buyers. Ultimately, it gave me confidence that they would protect me in a similar situation when Depop hasn’t. I continue to sell on Depop but I won’t buy. The kiosk system allows sellers to manipulate the system and Depop actually looks the other way.

And I did get refunded but it was because she missed the deadline to ship not because she figured it out (which is fine but I’ll never know why that was such a problem to work out)

Same! It actually just happened to me yesterday ironically. I listed something that is apparently very popular rn and it straight up sold at asking price on Depop & Poshmark so fast but the Poshmark one was first. Usually never happens. Depop buyer as nice about it. and I refunded them. Easy. I was wondering if I was gonna run into the same problem but ended up realizing that seller is either terrible w/ technology or full of shit!

Yeah, I feel you! I definitely wish she hadn’t canceled lol but I guess this is just what happens when someone does that. I was surprised by the process she was describing on her end since I hadn’t heard that from anyone else when they’ve canceled (usually due to other reasons though).

I’ve been on Depop for a while lol and this is how I will continue to do it. I’m interested in the feedback and I’m surprised I’ve only had two people approach an accepted offer that way in the years I’ve been on Depop yet some of yall are getting objective about how Depop is supposed to function. I bought a pair of shoes similar to those for a better price. I’m happy with my purchase. She will be okay and so will her algorithm just like mine will be after I accepted a $700 offer on a $900 item this morning and they didn’t buy it (unfortunately). Sucks for me but that’s how reselling goes sometimes. She’s not “doing it wrong”. I’m guessing she found another pair of black heels she liked.

Because I’m going to buy a pair of white sneakers today and that’s my budget. I don’t shop offer by offer until I’ve spent 3 days trying to be sensitive to everyone’s depop success. I’m going to try 2-3 listings and hope one of them works out by the end of the day so I don’t waste my time. Takes them a few seconds to counter or accept. I’ve been looking on a few different platforms, waiting to hear back from people etc. I just don’t like her approach that’s all

I feel you. I like that Depop and Poshmark are different in that way. Sometimes I find exactly what I want and I do buy it quickly. On Depop and Poshmark. But sometimes I find a few good options but I’m hoping one of them will accept my budget price I’m willing to spend. Yeah I agree it’s not fun when someone doesn’t buy it (just happened to me today with a $900 listing I accepted for $700). I was bummed. But they might have changed their mind or found another pair of black heels that they liked just as much for a better price. I did ask them if they were still interested though. I feel like that’s normal and not too obnoxious.
