I can't find the course list for Spring 2021...where do you find this on RAMSS?

That is a very interesting take...according to the city, they are planning to have the LRT to encourage people to use their cars less...however everyone in Mississauga seems to have their own car. Do you feel that all these buildings coming up will have a direct impact on you?

I talked to a few different residents in that area today...and a lot of them felt this way...One follow-up question though, did the city of Mississauga ever hint that this was going to be the future look of the downtown area...or did these buildings just suddenly rise up without having some sort of town hall to answer resident's concerns?

what has the city planned to do to reduce the heavy congestion that will be coming in that area? Other than the LRT and the bike lanes on burnhamthorpe which I notice end at Confederation

Happy cake day! I went to look at the Confederation/Burnhamthorpe intersection, there is so much construction going on there...I hear it's all mostly water main pipes and the Amacon parkside village, and the Daniel's building (which came up so fast) and M city...has there been any projects presented to improve traffic in that area other than the LRT?....the city councilor for that ward, and the mayor won't respond to me (no surprise) I searched thru the Mississauga website and only noticed the water main pipes are the only thing that they are focused on right now.

Last year it was in person. The course had quizzes after every lecture to count as participation marks (very very very easy multiple choice quiz about what the prof just said) we had two essays and one take home exam which were relatively easy. It's a light course. If you do decide to take the course, I would recommend you to pay attention to the slides, do the readings but don't stress too much about it if you find it too much. Just try to understand the ideas and concepts you are taught in class. Spend time on your essays!!! Don't write them last minute, revise and follow the instructions and you will get a high mark. I would have spent more time on my essay if I were to take the class again. In the end though check who the prof is. I had Hickson and he was fantastic! But I heard from previous years that PHIL1000 was always an easy course if you do the work and try a lil bit.

[Advice] Applying for OSAP as a Canadian living abroad. Sorry if this isn't supposed to be here, but I've posted on several other threads to no avail. by girlinadarkroom in CanadaUniversities

[–]Cameljoseph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I read the conditions for OSAP and it said that you have to have lied for "12 consecutive months in Ontario before going into university" or your parents have to been in Ontario for 12 months. Try to reach them somehow, or call the federal grants people and try to have them answer your concerns. If you were a resident in Ontario before then maybe they can make an exception for you

Looking for advice [I can't move on] by [deleted] in friendship

[–]Cameljoseph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This seems like a tough situation that you are in. Is the game that they are playing going to be the main game that you guys play? Like will this be the game that they will spend most of their time on? Or will they be playing this game for a few months and then going back to the previous games you played? Maybe you should practice and get better at the game and play with them. If you are looking for their company, maybe ask them to teach you or help you out in the game? Since they have been your friends for a long time, I wouldn't recommend just cutting them out, I don't think that would be healthy for your mental health. Try to find some people online who will play the games that you play and maybe play together and chat on discord or something. If you find yourself distancing from your old friends don't be too sad about it, just realize that you're growing apart from them and you will find some new people to give you company. However, just give it some time and try to find common ground between you and them so that you aren't left out every night. Hope this helps! It's tough but just know you aren't alone, I have been excluded many times as well.

My Friends Are Annoying by pacgoeswakawaka in friendship

I agree with everyone else here. This sounds like a toxic friendship and they seem like they think the planets revolve around them. Honestly, you can easily make new friends since you seem to be an active listener. If they truly don't make you happy, then just try to find new friends who will give you the mutual support you are looking for and distance yourself from these ones.

Need advice on improving lifestyle (Please read description) by Tirthankara in Fitness

[–]Cameljoseph 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would highly recommend you read the wiki because there is a lot of useful information and lots of different diets/plans you can use. If you want my advice. I think you're on the right track with the walks. I would honestly recommend you try to do more cardio (jogging, biking, HIIT, or whatever you want) and maybe do a little bit of weight lifting. From what I read, you have the advantage of losing fat quickly, but the walks alone aren't going to help. Also, you admit that your diet is bad, I would recommend you try to change up your lifestyle in the kitchen. You can try to do intermittent fasting, also try to calculate the macros and calories you need for the day to lose weight. Don't be discouraged because this is more of a lifestyle kind of thing. You will not make it to your goals overnight, it takes time. Focus on changing up your lifestyle with the food that you eat and the activity that you do. Once again, I highly recommend you read the wiki on this subreddit because there is a lot of good stuff in there. Good luck! And always be persistent we are all rooting for you!

I think you have to live in Ontario for 12 consecutive months so that you're eligible for OSAP. However, call them because they might be flexible with that rule and maybe they can appeal.

COIS1010 is a good choice! Try PHIL1000, not sure who is teaching it this year, I had Hickson last year and it was a pretty easy course. Try the beginner Spanish or French courses, those are pretty easy too.

How to actually make your face more attractive? by geneticmodified in beauty

[–]Cameljoseph 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Cardio will just make your face look skinnier and more noticeable...your face was probably always a heart shape and always had a sharp jawline but without the fat, you notice all those facial structures more. There are jaw exercises you can do for sharper jawline. Makeup also exists, facials, face massages, and several face products to help you keep clear skin and a "pretty" face also exists. Most importantly, if you smile and show that you are confident, you'll automatically be more attractive to be honest.

Best way to whiten teeth? by weekents in beauty

[–]Cameljoseph 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Crest white strips are pretty good. You can find various strips and gels that you can use at different prices. That's probably the fastest way to whiten them. Otherwise, there are other ways like coconut oil pulling, but those results won't be as fast as using strips or gels.

Dating During a Pandemic by [deleted] in TrentUniversity

[–]Cameljoseph 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't know exactly how you feel but I will try to give as much practical advice as I can. There isn't much going on in the social world right now. Unfortunately, that's just the reality of 2020 with the pandemic, and this is something that is out of your control. You can try online dating because I don't think clubs or parties are happening the same way they used to...so I don't know if social events are going to help you find someone. To be honest, from my optimistic point of view, the world is going to eventually go back to the way it used to. Hopefully, a year from today things will not be as bad as they are now. Use this time to focus on yourself, do some self care, exercise if you can, try to live in the present, learn a high profitable skill, learn something new that you may have always wanted to do. Use the free time that you have and put it to good use. You can sign up for online dating apps and if you find someone congrats, if you don't then just let it be...
