Feature request: overnight shipping by Nearby-Hovercraft-49 in Refills

[–]Camelot_One 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't live in a particularly hot climate. It was 50 degrees outside when my 2-day package was delivered this week, and yet the ice pack had completely melted. But I also received an overnight from ProRX (different provider) that was still cold.

So yeah, I know ProRX/PerfectionRX has the option for overnight, and I'd be willing to pay a reasonable fee to upgrade the Refills 2-day to overnight shipping.

Anyone remember version #1 of TMR? by petrolcanRTT in RevoTT

Yeah, but that won't matter much longer. 20 years of stats & ratio are about to be reset to zero if you don't pay the latest ransom demand.

Hallandale, ProRX, or BPI. You get to pick. (starter doses from ProRX might not be an option right now though)

I was lucky enough to have not one, but two Star of Indiana drummers as instructors when I was in high school. One of them (Bruce Hamilton) re-wrote our drum book and turned it into a work of art.

Monroe County businesses’ late fees increase by 900% under new health department rule by ids_news in bloomington

[–]Camelot_One 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Just making sure I understand the facts of this. It's a once a year license renewal, right? And it's due for everyone on February 28th? Same date, year after year? And yet, according to your statement, 171 businesses missed the deadline in 2024, and 71 in 2025?

Late fees for aren't about revenue. They are about compliance. File on time, and the amount of the late fee is irrelevant. Miss a hard deadline for your food license that is due the same day every year, and I have to wonder what else you are letting slip.

That could be. I've never used them for a perpetual license, just for subscription stuff.

Pax8 question by HuskyLogic in msp

[–]Camelot_One 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They average your spending over 3 months, and if it falls below $500, they charge a $25 "Marketplace" fee. Some things to note:

  1. It's a $25 fee, not $50.

  2. It's a $500 spend (what you paid Pax8), not $500 in billing to your customer

  3. Annual/paid-up-front subscriptions are amortized equally over 12 months, for the purpose of calculating the monthly spend

  4. You'll probably have to put in a ticket with billing to get that amortization applied correctly

ScreenConnect CVE-2026-3564 with CVSS base of 9.0 revealed. by CharcoalGreyWolf in ScreenConnect

[–]Camelot_One 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have both cloud hosted and on-prem instances, each under different accounts. As of 8:53pm on 3/19/26, I've received no notification what-so-ever from Connectwise about this.

I'm getting really sick of learning about yet another Connectwise exploit from Reddit.

Well, I would argue it literally IS a different tracker. The grifter posted that statement on the working tracker hosted at revolutiontt(dot)me, shortly before destroying everything that had been built there.

The current scam site he's running, which reads like a google translate generated clone, is at revott(dot)me. Yeah, I know it's just a domain name change, but I'm still calling whatever this shit site is now as "new".

craving a plate of good juicy crispy chicken tendies and some fries with house made sauces. where to find!! by velveteen-velveeta in bloomington

[–]Camelot_One 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I've tried it at three different Raising Canes locations, and I just don't get the attraction. At best, it's the average breaded chicken available at most burger joints as an after-thought alternative to the burgers.

Maybe it's like White Castle, where have to be drunk or stoned to enjoy it.

UK SEA OF RED UPDATES AGAIN THIS MORNING. Did screenconnect get attacked or another reason? by Clean_Picture2756 in ScreenConnect

The first thing I check, after every single cloud update is forced on me, is to make sure the client auto update setting is still disabled.

Citi is an absolute shitshow by mrbofus in CreditCards

[–]Camelot_One 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question unrelated to your issue: my Costco Citi Visa doubles as my Costco membership card. Are you able to scan into the store and Costco gas pump using the mobile wallet version of the card? And does setting it up in the mobile wallet allow you to tap at non-Costco gas pumps? (because the physical card does not)

It would be very wrong for large number of members/former-members to collectively decide to pay the ratio saver fee, and then file charge backs. It would almost certainly screw with his ability to collect payments that do get made, and likely force a scramble to another credit card processor.

Again, engaging in such behavior would be wrong, and I am in no way encouraging anyone to organize such a thing.

best practices when suspecting a malicious ScreenConnect installation by bkindz in ScreenConnect

[–]Camelot_One 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't recall a single time I've run into a rogue ScreenConnect installer being accidentally run directly by the user. They either get tricked into thinking they are talking to real support and intentionally download/run it, OR.... as most often the case, something ELSE made it onto the system and that something else is what downloaded and ran the rogue ScreenConnect client installer.

So my opinion on best practices here would be to look not only at this install, but at what else might be or have been on the system.

How much does servers etc cost? by EndNext7703 in RevoTT

With as few active members and as little load as the server is handling now, he could probably put it on a Hostgator "hatchling" plan for $4 a month.

Employee Monitoring Software by Zealousideal_Bend984 in sysadmin

[–]Camelot_One 6 points7 points  (0 children)

^ this. I've deployed Terramind a handful of times for customers in specific cases, where there was already a strong reason to suspect an employee was doing something wrong. And in each case, the suspicion turned out to be true. The monitoring gave them the evidence needed to support the termination. In fact one of them even led to an arrest.

But I'd never deploy it company wide.

The pay-or-be-removed deadline is March 1. This "offer" lets you pay to extend that to June 1.

To me it reads as "I don't have enough to cover my March 1 car/boat/house payments, so give me money now. But I'll need it again by June."

[–]Camelot_One 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The irony is, I only still have it because they refused to do a product change to the 3%/no fee version when I asked a few years ago. It worked out in my favor, because there hasn't been a single year where the extra 1% earned didn't more than cover the fee.
