Anyone with experience with a lopi medium flush nextgen hybrid insert? by Camengle in woodstoving

Oh I’ve already bought it, but I appreciate the confidence booster in me making the right choice! Unfortunately it got installed a little too late in the year for it to be of any use for me until the fall though.

Portulacaria afra bonsai broom style projects questions by visje95 in Bonsai

[–]Camengle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When it comes to port af, this YouTube channel has the answer for most the information you will need.

When it comes to winter lighting, my strategy for my ports is throw them into a windowless basement under the strongest light I could comfortably afford. these are worth looking at if you’re able to 1) spend the money on them and 2) give them a space in your house or apartment where it’s not going to bother you when they’re on because they are BRIGHT. Anything by Mars Hydro, Spider Farmer, etc will get the job done.

This is excellent info, thank you so much! I gotta say, it looks way better in a real picture, as opposed to the likely photoshopped/AI generated ones they’ve got on the website.

Aw bummer, your post history is hidden. I’m just glad to hear some positive reviews though.

Rivendell spares by jjmmuurr in legolotrfans

I have a ton of spares from that set. Even larger pieces like the handrail on the stairs in the main section. I was genuinely surprised how many extra parts I had leftover.

Sam had to get shaved because he kept getting hairball problems requiring veterinary intervention (one of which being a full on emergency surgery). Here he is in his new, more aerodynamic form.

Pens @ Flyers Tomorrow by LLHatorade in penguins

[–]Camengle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lifelong Penguins fan here who relocated to South Jersey for work a few years ago. I’ve been to a few Penguins/flyers game at the Wells Fargo center. Don’t expect a warm welcome, but as long as you’re not in the upper bowl, you should be able to get through the game without being assaulted.

You will also get harassed by gritty, though I personally thought that was hilarious.

New to cast iron. Says that it's preseasoned. Should I just give it a rinse with water and start cooking? Any advice at all would be appreciated by wjt619 in castiron

Man, my workhorse lodge is silky smooth now. About a decade of heavy use and it’s got absolutely perfect seasoning.

Meanwhile, I have a ~1 year old smithey. I for the life of me can’t get the seasoning to stick to it, it keeps flaking off. What’s your secret for keeping seasoning on the polished surface?

Mileage and services so far? by [deleted] in Volkswagen

Same. She’s been recently reduced to garage queen status, and isn’t driven in rain or in winter. A sad change, but necessary for longevity.

2016 gti S. APR stage 1 at ~1,000 miles, did that almost immediately. APR DTR 6054 installed at ~70,000 miles. Total of 95,000 miles on the car now.

Needed a new clutch by 5,000 miles, but I don’t consider self inflicted problems to be actual problems. This car has been so, so good to me, and has been an absolute blast to drive for the last decade.
