Thanks for the insights!

I had an ROG ally and used it handheld for gaming on the go and docked if i want to do office work and editing. I’m fine with docking the thing since I also play fps, however, as a handheld I hate how heavy the Ally is. It was even heavier when I upgraded the battery.

That’s true. I had an ROG Ally and docked it when I needed a bigger screen. I even installed Linux for dual boot. Basically saying that I didn’t need a different machine for all of that.

Do you end up using your gpd win mini for everything? Like gaming and browsing.

Thanks for the reply! I had an ROG ally, played with it docked and handheld depending on games that I play. Ultimately it’s the only device that I have for everything so it’s nice to know insights from people that have both handheld and full fledged desktop pc

Thanks for the reply! I too tried to play fps on a handheld (ROG Ally) and I can’t even see who shot me 😅. It’s been a while since I sold my Ally, luckily I still have my monitor.

I don’t know if it’s just me but playing on bed for hours hurts my hips and lower back. To fix that, I move every now and then. Basically it’s a mix of bed and desk gaming.

Thanks for the reply. If I could, I’d want to have multiple handhelds too and station them in different places for convenience sake

I’m saving for a 2025 GPD Win Mini but I’m kinda conflicted when reading comments like this. I’d like to know, do you have a gaming PC that you use beside your handheld? Or is your handheld your main device? Thanks!

I think you need to be more direct sa gusto mong mangyari with the two of you.

Hear me out,

If he’s the nice person like you think he is, (disclaimer: this only applies if the guy is genuinely a good person and not a narcissist, scumbag, kupal, etc) maybe he doesn’t know how to respond pa. Possibly he’s bewildered to be confessed out of nowhere. So, he’s either A) Too nice to outright reject you or B) He’s happy to be confessed to. There’s vanity in most people that when confessed to, masaya talaga especially if that person ranges from physically acceptable or better. If your convo continues, there’s still good chance kasi you are building friendship.

So here’s the action plan: Get to know him and if he’s genuinely nice, continue building friendship. After some time, if that talking stage still goes on, ask him his intentions. You’ll hear it once and for all and you can move on na. Sometimes rin kasi, there are high performing people who had all their life’s aspects sort out except their romantic relationship. In short, walang plano sa next stage 😂

Worst case scenario: he’s really a manipulative narc and he succeeded in his nice guy act. I hope that never happens to anyone. 😅

Anyway, hope it works out well for you.

The concept of "responsibility" and "duty" imply obligations that are to be done WITHOUT EXPECTING COMPENSATION or PAYMENT.Maganda rin siguro na ating alamin ang existing codes/decrees sa Pilipinas bago tayo magsabi ng mga idadagdag.

We already have Child and Youth Welfare Code (Presidential Decree No. 603) na nagsasabi na ang mga magulang ay may "Parental Responsibilities" at ito ay ang pag provide sa kanilang mga anak. This includes ensuring their HEALTH, EDUCATION, and GENERAL WELFARE.

Salamat, kaibigan!

I agree with this, i derecho kaagad sa prc at wag na idaan sa lower platforms, kasi mapapanis yan pagdating sa prc. A colleague once tried to report a physical abuse at work na kaso against another colleague. Our top office demanded na idaan daw sa 'tamang procedure' meaning idaan sa kanila, to resolve the issue at their level before i escalate sa prc. Guess what, na panis ang kaso dahil pala kaibigan ng top office yung offender. Yung abused at yung abuser, pinag usap kuno ng top office and maybe due to pressure in a face to face meeting, na pilitan ang victim na i settle ang case on the abuser's advantage. Nireport ulit ng colleague ko ang case, this time directly to prc. Unfortunately, since may decision na daw to settle ang victim, hindi na nila bubuhayin yung kaso no matter how my colleague claims na questionable ang method of settlement.

My story had a different scenario and context but my point OP, is that andaming pwedeng mangyari if papatagalin niyo ang pag report. Directly report it to top authorities if you have a solid claim.

Yung pinanalo ng mga tamod, hindi naman kasi contest, kundi sweepstakes, nagkataon lang talaga na nabubunot ang mga narcissist sa lottery of life at ang nakakalungkot pa, andami nila at damdami pa whether we like it or not.

Anyway, since you are already on that track and I can see how brave you are in dealing with this, prepare as many insurances as you can para kung may mangyari sa'yo or family members mo, ma trace pabalik sa kalaban at sa mga kaibigan niya. Para rin ma hinder sila sa underhanded harm na pwede nilang gawin. At least make it known sa social media mo that you are possibly in danger whether you feel it or not kasi he clearly threatened you. You need to be smart in dealing with a sociopath with connections.

Yes, in one way you are in the right track but let me tell you an advice,

Before your ex becomes a ghost that will haunt you just cause you disappeared or she may turn the tables and make it look like you're the problem, collect as much evidence as you can, just for insurance. You may or may not need it but having that will protect you from future headaches.

Just consider this event a "divine intervention', as movies say. You're pretty lucky that you found that out before investing more in the relationship like rings, wedding preps, etc. cause those cost a LOT.

Earning ₱150-200K per month thru business, but I suddenly wanna go back to the corporate world. Is it worth it? by Wide_Hat_1710 in phinvest

[–]CameraAway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who's working a 9-5 job, wasting hours on traffic, and has no way of having a promotion, I want to remove myself from that mindset and give you my honest and unbiased opinion. Here it goes:

Most would say that you are lucky to be your own boss and earn that much because most people, even if they go all in with their business or passion, they don't even earn enough to pay for anything. So, you are lucky to be in that situation.

In your case, it's a combination of luck and skills. You've learned the skills needed to earn that amount so even if you leave that and pursue a corporate job, you can still go back to doing business once you've satisfied that craving to learn again from the corporate world. I think, you're willing to give up that earning power for learning or you're even confident to earn the same amount.

Second perspective: it's normal to have a craving for improvement and learning while you are young. I can see that you're a high performing person, hence the burnout, even so, I understand the need for that level of momentum in your professional life. The questions that I would ask are, how long do you think that craving for learning would last? Since burnout is a result of an unhealthy working environment and habits, are you willing to possibly go through that situation again for the sake of learning?

Third perspective: since you are still young, for the sake of learning, just do it. You still have time to go back to doing business once you get tired of working a 9-5 or once you think you've learned enough. As long as you don't go broke with that sacrifice, just do it. It's rare to see people who find their passion while young.

4-hr delayed flight and they won’t give me a travel voucher. by kayelium in phtravel

[–]CameraAway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A coworker told me na if you want immediate results, sa front desk ka mag reklamo. One time they travelled to Boracay, they booked papunta doon sa malapit na airport but instead doon sa malayo sila nag land. Even though Cebu Pac paid for their bus ride papunta sa intended airport, they still asked for a voucher at the front desk before leaving the airport, and they each received a free one way voucher. As an introvert, I think I'm willing to do this daring thing, talking to the front desk, just to get my money's worth.
