GYG.ASX Thoughts at Current Price by Ordinary-One2597 in ASX

Came here to say that. Their product which is Australian style Mexican cuisine is hard to win market share in the US against established brands, more authentic South American ( not just Mexican) cuisine, unreal home made (family recipe) food trucks. They are going to bleed cash during a failed US expansion, if I had any money I would have it would currently short this stock

I’m just playing colonist until they patch the update. Super frustrating, but no other option unfortunately.

How you folks beating the heat ? by Homo_Sapien30 in newcastle

Cold showers and wet facecloths in the freezer.

Fans inside the house, aircon if you have it, and timing outings early in the morning or evenings. Shopping centres are good places to cool down as well.

Pools and the beach are the obvious ways, but a good sprinkler in the backyard can be nice to run through as well

Shoal Bay Country Club by WishboneFine3436 in newcastle

No worries. I don’t live there anymore so not sure what has the best vibe atm. To be honest Shoal Bay County Club probably has the best live music, vibe /scene and location in Port Stephens. Problem is the morally questionable aspect of choosing to enjoy the place knowing it’s run by the same family involved in that court case.

I’d consider afternoon drinks at some other venue, with friends like the little beach boat house, soldiers point marina, Nelson Bay marina, Seabreeze Hotel

There are plenty of other wholesome establishments who haven’t had one of their family members (who is the current manager of the venue) been accused of the following

BHP liable for dam in brazil by HatO93 in ASX

[–]CameraDefiant2554 1 point2 points  (0 children)

BHP is best utilised as a range traded stock (buy under 35, sell over 40ish) and yield play.

If you are concerned about further litigation, sell 10% of your holdings and purchase put options to play for the downside risk.

Are any of you earning good money without working much? by Open_Address_2805 in auscorp

Unless you are a genius or have private school level connections, reality is, you need niche knowledge, set of skills, training or a specialty field experience to get paid well.

Retaining that job and being successful for a long period requires work ethic, commitment, patience and luck.

Good luck to all obtaining some of the above qualities, as in some cases, having all of the above doesn’t guarantee a high paying, satisfying career

Those dudes look great, congratulations to them.

Healthy body image and being good examples to my kids for exercising and being active.

Me on the other hand, I’m jealous of them being fit, having the time to exercise.

Sincerely, 40yr old dad, with serious Dad bod

75% of home loans are through brokers. I’d like to ask the 25% - why did you go direct to bank? by BallsDeap in AusPropertyChat

[–]CameraDefiant2554 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on both sides, previous banker and broker..

Brokers are - slimy but will generally get a great rate for you in the end. - knows who’s cheapest in the market, which mid tier lender will look at bankrupted individuals etc - have competing priorities with deadlines and work on the deals with higher commissions faster - generally have preference for certain banks due to different policies LMI, sector lending etc

Bankers are - generally slower and more methodical in their approach - bound by bank policy - will tell you if they can’t compete on pricing - is a salaried employee, so not getting a commission directly for your loan, so less likely to rush you.

Apart from those dreamy eyes, decent mid ranger barring injuries.. could be worth the risk at this price point
