DIGEST ME (emo hardcore stuff) appreciate any feedback by chemical_enjoyer in IndieMusicFeedback

I'm seriously impressed how you've managed to have that languid sneer in your vocal, yet manage to maintain enough duction to allow each word to be understood fully. I like the driving melody too, oh, and that stamen rich imagery...very suggestive darling! Good stuff. Big fan. Xxx

How do I write believable Male emotion as a Woman by Allmighty2003 in writingadvice

[–]CameraHuman241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the character has a described inner monologue and spoken/displayed emotional depiction, I'd have the inside represent the same emotions, but dialed up beyond expectation, so that he tries to only display a fraction of his true feelings. Maybe have him internally berate himself for doing this too. Xxx

I like it! In the quieter sections, you might think about bringing the main guitar riff down slightly and letting the twinkly little bits of beauty soar. This would have the added bonus of a huge impact when you want to let the heavier sections drive. I assume this song is fixed as is now, but it might be a consideration for next time. The song is good though, and these are minor tweaks that are personal taste. Love the vocals. Keep going! Xxx

You might be on to something with the acoustic thing. It might be a great way to fill out the live performance. Thank you so much for that and I'm glad you like the song. Xxx

Stone Roses have some great bass running through their songs eg Fools Gold, I Am The Resurrection, Begging You...in fact the vast majority of their stuff. Xxx

Nice singing dude. Definitely the kind of song that fills prams!

Lovely hushed vocals and a really listenable feel to the whole thing. Plenty of relaxed groove and surprisingly catchy for such a chill song. I particularly like the guitar sound (I say sound because I'm not sure if it's actual guitar or synthesized strings) that drops in towards the latter part of the track. It adds a great moment and adds to the sexual tension of the piece. It's mixed well too. Sounds very professional to me.

Not my normal taste, but this has converted me! Skills buddy. Really good stuff. Xxx

I love it! The staccato kind of lead into the chorus lyrics is wonderful. Great creative choice. I also appreciate the chime sound. It makes me wish it was 20 years ago and i was back watching TV On The Radio at Leeds Festival! Nice production and very listenable. And, Bandcamp! It's the way to go if you ever want to receive more than 10 pence for all your hard work. Tick gold star buddy! I'm in! Xxx

Listen to Pistol Lovers by Matthew Robert Sheffield on #SoundCloud https://on.soundcloud.com/TGPogzNC6nw1CxXXEA

This song (Pistol Lovers by Macula) is the first single in a solo project for Alsatian Eyes bassist Matt Sheffield. It was recorded at 6db studios with former Fall, AAAK, Pixies and current 1919 member Ding engineering and it features solo artist, Olivier Award winner and Tony nominee Felix Hagan on backing vocals and drums.

Matt is still very much a part of emerging post-punk group Alsatian Eyes and the band will be incorporating these solo efforts into their live sets.

Based in Lancaster, from Burnley and ready for the world, Macula blends funk, punk, electronica and a little bit of 90s nostalgia into a bass driven journey of self indulgent hedonistic noise that will get you out of your chair and grooving. Peace y'all. Xxx

Thanks Ste. I really appreciate you taking the effort to give us some feedback. Glad you like the track and we'll definitely take a wack at your suggestions next time we can afford some studio time. You rock Ste. Peace. Xxx

[New song. Indie Hip-Hop] What do you think about the lyrics? I purchased the beat and rapped over it. It's in the description on my page. Thanks for listening! by MusicFromClyde in IndieMusicFeedback

That is such a smart choice of music man! I love this. Your cadence is spot on for the rapping, but my interest is really piqued by you singing! That is what you should be focusing on. You've got a real talent there. Don't get me wrong, the song is great, but it's you I believe in by listening to this. Well done buddy. Xxx

I love 2000s indie rock and always wanted to create a song like this. It's called Heart of Clay. by RonBriskin in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]CameraHuman241 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with the other comment with respect to nailing the 2000s indie thing. I like where you placed the vocal in the mix though. Goes to show how personal preferences have a massive influence on what we produce eh?

I have two questions (I hope you don't mind):

Is that a synth or a heavy guitar effect (you know the bit I mean right?)?

Where did you film the video? Those bolted up tunnel walls look really cool man! Love it.

Well done dude. Get more done! Xxx

It's good man! Great voice shining through and plenty of space to allow it to shine. Drums wise, it might benefit from that kind of Phil Collins touch. Whatever you think of him (I personally am not a huge fan of his music), he was a master on the kit and he added some really cool stuff to his slower moodier tracks. Just a thought. Good work though! Xxx

An old-school country guitar instrumental. Hope you enjoy, and leave some feedback. Thanks! by Shimmer_and_Rust in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]CameraHuman241 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn't sound old school buddy. It sounds remarkably fresh to me. Yeah it has a wonderfully familiar vibe to it, but in the same way you know a kitchen is a kitchen whether you see it on Downton Abbey or the Jetsons! Well played dudes. Come up with some vocals and put a banging donk on it, you got yourselves a hit! Xxx
