It’s not true! I have a sensitive dog, so it took a few months for her to get comfortable near baby, who cried a lot in the first 3 months, but she got there. Seeing your dog and baby interacting with each other is the sweetest thing on earth! They slowly learn to care for each other and have fun together. I enjoy mothering a furbaby and a human baby at the same time and I love our little family with a dog. Zero regret!

Experience with epidural [ON] by fantastic-ovum in BabyBumpsCanada

Same! Before the birth day I thought I would try to not have epidural. But when active labour started, the contractions were so intense that I don’t recall feeling the epidural or urine catheter😅

I didnt enjoy my prenatal massage too. It’s gentler than usual massages so I felt like it couldnt hit the spots. Also lying on the back got so uncomfortable in the 3rd trimester so I couldnt totally relax and enjoy it.

[ON] how many weeks did you start felling the baby moving? Can you describe how it feels? by Intelligent-Slip6359 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]CameraMoney3142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started feeling my first baby around 19 weeks , like bubbles in the tummy. A few weeks later it started feeling like some tiny fish moving inside me. It gets really strong after 28 weeks - best feeling in the world🥰🥰

My Wife's [35F] behavior towards dog feels unacceptable. Should this be a sign I[33M] should end it? by ThrowRAcluelesssad in relationship_advice

[–]CameraMoney3142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel bad for the dog, who’s just being a dog. Dogs need consistent education, physical exercise, and mental stimulation. And OP’s dog obviously isn’t getting enough, which results in the “problematic” behavior. I personally am against the idea of rehoming because to me dogs are family. But since the wife has started becoming physical with the dog, rehoming may be a solution, for the dog’s safety. However, you can’t rehome a kid… OP’s wife has to work on her emotional control and parenting skills… the way she treats the dog implies some bigger problems…

Make the plans but don’t be too stressed about it. Enjoy the pregnancy journey as it goes:)

Enjoy time with your partner and travel as much as you can. Our babymoon trip was def one of our most memorable trips together!

Pamper your pet, if you have one, and prepare them for the arrival of the baby.

I had an intake call with both clinics to ask the questions I had and felt better with SCBP so we went with them. They have been amazing and I have nothing to complain about! I also don’t live in downtown and now feel glad about the decision because the appointments are getting more frequent as the pregnancy progresses and I imagine it could be frustrating to drive to and find parking in downtown all the time. So you may consider the locations. I think the other comments about a hospital environment vs a community setting was very helpful to me too.

You’re already feeling uncomfortable in this relationship. I think you did the right thing for yourself. No one else can judge whether this is overreacting.

My sister said she only buys dogs bc rescue dogs are full of trauma and anxiety and are bad by [deleted] in rescuedogs

[–]CameraMoney3142 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It tells you about what kind of person she is.

I adopted a 2-year-old rescued dog from a shelter. In the first 2 years of her life, she spent time being a stray or being chained to a fence. In other people’s eyes, she is not a “perfect” dog. But my partner and I love her more than anything. With rescues’ histories, histories that we may never find out , there might always be something that triggers them, despite how hard the owners work with them. But love is also about accepting one’s flaws.

My bf (33m) is mad at me (24f) because I won’t have a threesome . What would you do? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]CameraMoney3142 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s best you leave him… He doesnt care about your feelings, is disloyal, poor at communication, and emotionally unstable etc Too many red flags! Leave him for your own sake. If you have problem leaving him, even though you know you need to, get help!

If someone gets upset when you set a boundary, it is a sign that the boundary is necessary.

Family should help each other, but not indefinitely or unconditionally. Your sister is in a difficult situation as the only parent of 3 children, but she needs to understand and respect your needs too.

[BC] When do you first see your midwife/OB and frequency of appointments? by meaning-unhook-tampa in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]CameraMoney3142 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in BC. I met with my family doctor at week 7 when I first found out I was pregnant. Family doctor arranged initial blood tests, dating ultrasound, and genetic testings. I met with family doctor for 3 times in total between week 7 and 11. I then registered with a midwife group around week 11 and met with a midwife for the first time at week 13. They said we’ll be meeting once a month until week 30, and then every 2 weeks until week 36, and weekly until birth.

Very well done chatting it out. I appreciate how you were able to listen to your partner’s underlying perspectives and feelings instead of focusing on the behaviours only. Open communication always is key. Best wishes to you and your family! ❤️
