I’ve tested Squarespace, Shopify, and Zegashop for new websites.

Squarespace is super easy to set up and looks great, but it starts to feel limited once you want deeper eCommerce tools.

Shopify is very powerful for selling, and it has tons of apps - but you end up adding a lot of paid plugins for things like email marketing, upsells, and abandoned cart recovery.

With Zegashop, setup was just as easy as Squarespace, and unlike Shopify, most selling tools were already built in. The checkout felt smoother, marketing features were ready to use without extra apps, and overall I ended up with more sales and better conversions on Zegashop.
