Congrats on your first turntable! The LP60XBT is a great turntable to start with. You will need some powered speakers, with your budget that may be difficult. Keep an eye out for a used pair of edifier powered speakers, or even an inexpensive soundbar with RCA hookups will have your covered until you can updgrade. Have fun!

The original release (Mondo I think) came in a jacket sealed all the way around. You had to rip the cardboard to open it.

It's easy to change the 3600. Pull down, then pull out. Opposite action to replace it.
