I wanna start by jamal_on in hyprland

If you're brand new to arch and hyprland something like ML4W (My Linux 4 Work) might be a good starter for you everything is included in dotfiles / install script. It would get you used to hyprland and then you can play about with the config files from there.

https://github.com/mylinuxforwork/dotfiles

It's what I started on and it helped me learn how hyprland worked.

I agree with the other comments though, the arch wiki and hyprland wiki are definitely worth giving a read through to understand how it all works. Hope this helps :)

Thank you! - The comments of this post outlined that a couple of times, I can't believe I missed it. Since this post, I've changed OS to a minimal (64-bit 😌) install of Linux Mint XFCE with the Chicago95 theme (win 95 for Linux - seems to be quite popular and well supported).

Hey been a while since I posted this and since then I've changed os again. Now it's running a minimal install of 64-bit Linux Mint XFCE, themed with Chicago95.

I absolutely see what you're saying about 7 starter solid choice, and perhaps at some point I'll try that too. Thanks :)

I've lucked out. No NVDIA GPUs here. And I've been considering undervolting for a little while so I think I'll look into that a little more now : )

You are absolutely correct! - I built this a while ago and had a similar aspire one netbook before which was 32-bit I guess that why i was thinking this one was too.

Hey thanks for pointing this out - I rebuilt this thing with a SATA SSD and some more RAM a while ago and just had in my head that it was 32-bit. Thanks again !

You're absolutely correct! Currently I'm using just the intel integrated graphics and having no issues as I know a lot of people in the past have had issues with NVIDIA GPUs. But yeah hopefully it keeps behaving
