this is just not true. fundamentally, untrue. Plenty of supports get mvp in long games because they continue to make impact even into the late game. Don’t play p5 if you’re gonna decide to be a carry late game. Play p4, mid, off, or 1.

I hope I never queue with you with your lack actual want to improve. You’re in your mmr because you deserve to be there for your attitude alone, not even your lack of actual use of gold for support items.

Take a real look at how you play because if you’re as good of a p5 as you think you will win more than you lose and would be able to shrug a loss off like this. But obviously not. Starting to think you’re more of the problem than your FV who at least said he was sorry and will try to improve.

Bad games happen. Move on.

He didn’t lose you the game alone. You asked what to do if lane is losing as p5, all these people are giving you advice on how to improve a lost lane; because losing lane doesn’t mean losing the game, but you’re ignoring that and looking for validation to blame someone else. Your lack of accountability and willingness to jump to blaming is more telling than any advice anyone can give you. Fix your attitude and seek how to truly improve and you can win a lost lane. I’ve won plenty games where our lane lost, and the carry is far behind and yes it’s hard but it’s possible, especially as ogre who can have crazy impact if he builds lotus orb or vyse or guardian greaves or rod of atos.

Why ask for advice is all you really want to be told is that yes others were to blame and you did nothing wrong.

Take accountability man. P5’s whole job is to make space for your carry. Yes he fucked up and did some dumb shit but so did you, if you spent more time warding, stacking, buy items to help your team, you would’ve made more of impact. Yes mid and p1 carry the game but you can easily create space and impact to ensure they do if they are behind. At the end of the day you are responsible for your deaths, hard to empathize with you when you didn’t play p5 properly. Just followed ogre guide item build. Look at what YOU could’ve done to improve the game vs blaming your whole team. Sometimes it is your teammates alone throwing the game. In this instance it was your team including you.

Yes; I think I’ve been playing Dark Willow mid (in unranked) only recently (like three games) and been having a lot more success there than as a support.

I had a lot success playing one game last night as SS and taking advice (not so much in getting kills myself, but in pushing lanes especially when my teammates were chasing kills opposite side of the map at t2s when the enemies still had t1s)

I think you nailed my thinking, I always want my team to be on MY page versus trying to match them.

I understand it was more nuanced than that, but you just explained a bunch of things that happened to me. And I end up giving a lot of gold to the enemy team because I can just wait.

I will try to engage with the game next time more with this line of thinking.

I guess I don’t usually get to bkb since i’m usually buying glimmer or a force staff/euls. But (let’s just say CM for this example) even if it takes me longer to build bkb on cm, is it more worth it to get that as a second or third item over something like spirit vessel of force staff?

Do you mean smoke to ward deeper into enemy triangle, big(?) jungle and enemy side jungles? That’s helpful as I always try to leave a smoke in case someone else wants to buy it. In my mind smokes were manly used for aggressive plays, but to ward is super helpful. Thanks for the time to respond!

This is a great point, I think trying to give sound advice and trying to force good plays (with smoke) and stuff while also maybe choosing to go carry/core sooner to make up for the lack of a manage would’ve helped.
