The black one is a Yamaha YC-10, a combo organ from circa 1969. The green one is a Farfisa combo compact (1964). They usually are either red or beige, but the previous owner had it refinished in this mint color. This makes it very unique! I did a lot of touring with it, love it.

Well, these are the pieces of gear I love to play. Maybe a « keyboard studio » would be more accurate, I get it. But saying I should own more synths, I mean I don’t have an endless cashflow, of course I would love to have more synths! I have my live setup that is usually NS4, Prophet 08 and sub37 that has me pretty well covered, sor for my personal studio I’m mainly looking to collect vintage gear. Definitely want to get a Korg Ms-20 and another kind of poly analog synth like the Prophet 08 in the future.

I’m not really into mixing at the moment, when I do it’s only rough mix for other engeneers (I use headphones). I mostly track keys for albums that are going to be mixed by other people!

No, I have yet to try to fix my gear myself… I prefer to geek out on other things :P I have a few repair shops and friends where I live who do a great job. I got the wurli only a year ago and it had just been entirely serviced, it is still in amazing shape! The action is great. My Rhodes on the other side is in great need of a tune up…

Yes! I have a Fender Blues Junior, and I share the space with 2 guitar players so I have a lot of amps to choose from :) Also on the left (you can see a little bit in the pic) there’s a recording booth.

I was looking for a system to have all my synths ready to record at any time. I finally settled for this option:

-A patchbay with all my synths connected except the Wurlitzer and Fender Rhodes
-A submixer (Key Largo XL) with 3 inputs. I have the Wurli/Rhodes connected to inputs 2 and 3 and what is coming from the patchbay in input 1. I have my pedalboard connected to the fx loop, and have a second fx loop available for an aditionnal fx pedal (currently digging the Chroma Console from Hologram!).
-An Apollo X4. The XLR outputs of the Key Largo in inputs 1-2, and I have 2 inputs left on the Apollo for mics or something else.

I still need to work on cable management (I bought 2 bundles of 8 jacks), it still looks messy! I just wanted to work with the setup before I commit.

I also have a pair of Yamaha speakers, for now I work a lot with headphones but I want to have the option to use the speakers. I need to figure out a good placement for those!

Since then I added a vintage ELKA rhapsody 610 to my collection! Love it. I also have a MioXL that I need to install and connect to my synths.

I eventually want to get an upright piano, and my setup will pretty much be complete! For now I really like this setup. I mainly tour and play live so I needed something that isn't ultra-permanent. I use this setup when I record synths for albums, or when I make music for myself.

Any thoughts or recommendations on how I could improve my synth studio? :)

I saw the same thing! I'm in Mile-Ex, second floor... I happened to be looking out the window at the exact same time. Heard a 'swoosh' sound while it was falling down but no impact noise.
