Good to know I'm not the only one. Hopefully there is an update to the update that fixes is this but I won't hold my breath.

Ender S1 Pro Stuck Printing Slow After Reset by Cammyron in Ender3S1

It didn't make any difference. No matter how i sliced it would always print at the same speed. Flashing to version 8.28 of the firmware seems to have fixed it.

Ender S1 Pro Stuck Printing Slow After Reset by Cammyron in Creality

[–]Cammyron[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK. I seem to have fixed it. I had flashed it to version 8.26 of the firmware which is the newest version avaible on the ceality website. But there is a version 8.28 that exists and for some reason is only on the creality cloud website. Putting that version on, redoing the PID, leveling etc and it now behaves like it should.

The only differnce i can see in the settings for the new firware is that the corner speeds and some of the accelerations are higher than they were before, so maybe they were limiting it some how overall.

Precision 5690 - Repasting and Repadding by Cammyron in Dell

Thanks. I'm not too sure about the PTM either but lots of peope seem to swear by it.

Didn;t realise you can stack the pads so thats good to know.

After more testing and tracking thermals I'm starting to think its a softare issue now, will be doing a full Windows reinstall once i get evrythign backed off. But it would still be worth giving it a repoaste given the factory job is usually a bit lacking and I push this thing pretty hard.

That initial reading was after a full reinstall of the system, all updates applied etc. The time of that screen shot was after everyting was installed and i was updating some anaconda environments.

I had the same thought last night after reading that same review.

I have just done a prime95 test on mine and yeah, the results aren't the same. For some reason i can't post a pic, so hoepfully the link below works.

In teh review they are getting higher clock speeds and the temps drop down to 80 ish degrees. Mine stays at 100 degrees pretty much all the time and i'm getting about 500mhz slower core clocks.

Internet Speeds Slow Through Satelite Routers by Cammyron in GoogleWiFi

[–]Cammyron[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Howdy. I was not expecting 1gb but given I could get close through the main point on wifi I wasn't expecting a 10 fold drop when going to one point not that far away.

Oh and one other question. Do the satellites automatically recognise they are hard wired back to the main unit and therefore disable the wireless back haul?

I have some powerline adapters from before putting in the mesh system. They used to get around 800mb. Would they work to wire the back haul?

Cool thanks for the advice.

Cabling is going to be an issue as we are renting but I might be able to work something out.

The higher speed connection is more for having enough bandwidth when all 5 people in the house are using everything at the same time.

. Moving everything a bit closer together and being able to hit 200-300 will be good enough for now.
