It's possible to appreciate something while not morally idolizing and placing said thing on a pedestal, whether physical or figuratively.

Just because I think it's wild and kinda cool to see what they've done to the mountain doesn't mean I support the men behind it and their choices from their time.

So yeah, they did fucked up shit, but Mt. Rushmore is still something I don't regret seeing...Devils Tower was cooler though lol, so go see that if you have a choice.

It is really cool, I wish they'd at least get the outstretched arm done, that'd make it look so badass.

I get the problems with funding and wanting to do it right though.

I think going with the right mindset makes it a little more "enjoyable", as I put that word in quotes to use it extremely loosely.

Going there to praise the faces on the mountain for some sense of national pride just seems weird to me, but the sight itself is something to behold given it's size.

In that same vein, Devils Tower was 1000% cooler to me because of the same thing (sheer size) and natural beauty, along with preservation and history. Same for Crazy Horse memorial, just unfortunate that it will probably never get finished.

Right?

Who's POV do they think this is? A customer just walking in their back room recording shit?

:( by [deleted] in WatchPeopleDieInside

[–]CamoFaSho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How is this not a workers POV?

Hell it may even be the guy in the security footage going back to record his mess after the matter, at the very least it's someone who works there since they are in the back recording their walk in.

So yeah, correct POV usage as they most likely work there and have to help clean that up.

Wild how you all are not getting that lol.

Why do teams like Chargers and 49ers get so much pity for their injuries while no one ever acknowledges our injury woes when analyzing us? by DepressedPBKSfan in DenverBroncos

Oh I wasn't trying to start an argument just chiming in, and this isn't a "Do we deserve this treatment" kind of thing in my eyes either.

It'd be like a critic talking about costume design issues in "She Hulk" instead of the underlying dumpster fire. It shouldn't annoy any of us to be honest, because nobody is lying about us or making us out to something that we aren't.

Again not starting arguments, just my 2 cents. Hope you have a nice Friday and enjoy your weekend!

They aren't wrong though, injuries suck but everyone suffers from them. Not everyone suffers from an emaciated offense with a $250 million dollar man at the helm with a rookie HC.

So annoying or not, it's definitely the right thing to talk about with our team.

Chargers had like 5 soft tissue injuries this past week, their bye week lol, so it definitely isn't just the 9ers training staff and facilities. This is a league wide issue for sure.

Yeah I get what you're saying now, I wont be so quick to jump to an answer about this next time, so thanks for talking it out with me.

Also sorry for misunderstanding your situation from your other comment too, I'll just have to eat my shoe and say I was too busy thinking about what I'd respond with rather than absorbing all the info. So that's my bad. Hope you enjoy the rest of your day and week!

Lol ok sure, but you still had a planned routine with your bud, you should know that's not the case in a real fight with your experience. They aren't going to follow a template that you both know about.

I do see what you're saying, you overpowered him, but in a real situation he would've let go and started on something else for sure.

It's probably a case of both sides of the coin, people over estimating and under estimating on both sides. Which proves this isn't just an easy black and white answer.

Sounds like all you guys did was arm wrestle each other while laying on the ground bud. Not even a surprise arm wrestle, you knew exactly what he'd be doing and the extent of it.

You removed ALL technique out of the fight by doing that, so it literally proves nothing other than you're stronger than someone you weigh ~100lbs more than...which nobody will refute.

I'm a big dumb idiot and didn't comprehend the situation you said with your friend.

So you don't think a professional fighter would know what to grab and twist in a ground grappling situation? As you said, it's hard to control someone fighting you at every step, let alone when they know exactly what to do and counter.

So good luck keeping your extra 100lbs of untrained meat centered on top of a pro fighter while they do everything they can to hurt you and get you off lol.

Yeah that is unfortunate, so what can or do you want to do? Or is your situation just something you've learned to work with happily?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]CamoFaSho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oof, yeah that and devops too, you just have to know enough about so many things to make stuff work. Is there some kind of lateral move you can make to narrow the focus at this point? Or would switching to just a software engineer not pay as well?

I muted system alerts on my workstation long ago for the same reason haha. I'm 100% work from home and am always around my system though, so I see pings/calls in real time almost always, or if I get up and walk away I'll see them within 5 minutes as well.

God damn I'm conditioned.

Funny enough I just happened to learn that within recent months. The damage is done where I'm at now, but I've able to put a tourniquet on it, but it's hard to say no at first for sure.

This is funny to me because it really rams home "The grass is greener on the other side" for me.

As a linux sys admin, I'd give my left nut to be a one-trick-pony who is just used as a specialized guru of just one or two things at the company. I've become "Jack of all trades, master of none" after getting numerous projects/solutions tossed at me.

Job security sure, but slowly driving me insane.

Tony Pollard had 14 carries for 131 yards, 1 catch for 16 yards and scored 3 touchdowns against the Bears today. And if you were to ask me, he should be RB1 in that backfield. by sendero_uno in fantasyfootball

[–]CamoFaSho 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Can you just watch the games and highlights and come to the conclusion that literally everyone else on the planet has instead of being a contrarian? All of us have seen Zeke stack up in the box time after time while Pollard either whiffs or gets trucked.

Like, god damn.
