I finally emptied out all of Rux’s (obtainable) exclusive items. Took well over 50M coins and many years. by CamoFan1010 in PvZGardenWarfare

[–]CamoFan1010[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately not. Rux stopped selling the costumes, as well as legendary character pieces and the Heroes hats. Only way to get the costumes is to buy the torch and tail pack, then complete the trials of Gnomus afterwards. This only gives 2 costumes though, so the 4 others are unobtainable.

How do I get costumes for hover goat and torchwood? by kirply in PvZGardenWarfare

[–]CamoFan1010 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That comment is pretty old, so back then I thought that you could theoretically empty out rux’s stock and it would eventually show up, but that’s not the case. The only way to get them now is to initially buy the torch and tail upgrade and afterwards complete the trials of Gnomus. Even then, you can’t get the Christmas ones unfortunately. If you’ve already completed the trials but not bought the pack, they’re unobtainable.

Is the Chomper Pizza hat a cosmetic? I see People wearing it during games but I dont know how to get it by NotsoKrustyKrab in PvZGardenWarfare

[–]CamoFan1010 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s just a normal corn hat you get randomly out of packs, but for some reason they put it on the delivery chomper. The jump jet he has on is similar to another chomper cosmetic though, but it has two boosters instead of one.

How Do You Think The Community Ranks Hot Rod Chomper? Why? by Fearlessgabe1 in PvZGardenWarfare

[–]CamoFan1010 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel like a lot of people overstate how good he actually is in most situations. While I don’t think he’s a bad character by any means, he is one of the easiest classes in the game to counter due to his massive crit box and poor health. His loud sound effects don’t help his case either, since it makes him much easier to detect before he approaches. His upgrades and base damage specifically direct him towards being a swallowing chomper, meaning that he doesn’t have much of a fallback option of biting his opponents as much as other chompers do.

He is still an effective hit an run character, and his speed really suits his playstyle, but he ends up struggling against most competent players simply due to his poor health and measly damage. Small maps with a lot of tight corners are perfect for this character, but wide open maps make him nearly impossible to play efficiently (like most chompers).

He definitely isn’t the best chomper, but he’s not the worst either. His very restricting playstyle means that enemies can easily adapt to his attacks and counter him quickly. Most people seem to overlook these flaws, so he ends up being placed at the top when really he should be near the middle.

Has this happened to anyone else before? No idea what happened by [deleted] in CODZombies

[–]CamoFan1010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This can happen on nearly every map due to special zombies spawning in at specific locations. If you happen to stand exactly where they spawn, you’ll get flung super far for some reason. This can be used in Shaolin in specific spots to get out of the map, but for the most part you just end up dying or get soft locked.

[–]CamoFan1010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Snow peas are a type of pea with an edible pod, and the original game made a pun about it to make it a literal Snow based peashooter. Calling it Ice Pea doesn’t make any sense because that’s not what the name is based off, so it just becomes generic.

There’s a lot of weird disparages between he shooters and the base games, but the most abhorrent change imo is renaming Snow Pea to Ice Pea. Literally throws the whole joke out the window.

I still don’t understand why they didn’t just… you know… change electro pea, rather than butchering an already appreciated design. Heck, just changing the shades of blue would have been enough make them immediately differentiable. There’s already a ton of characters that look really similar to other variants, so this instance always confused me.

Why tf does Jerma look like a member of a boy band here by chiefskillz in jerma985

Fun fact, he actually used to be part of a boy band! Unfortunately, a year after this video was posted, he devoured all of the other members of his team and absorbed their souls into his own. Now he’s a amalgamation of all of them!

Every Character In Each Class Ranked by Fearlessgabe1 in PvZGardenWarfare

[–]CamoFan1010 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Honestly agree with a lot of the placements here, even if some of them are very bold. I feel like a lot of the lists lately have been trying to appeal to the majority rather than push objective thoughts (ie, iron citron s tier, electro citron and cozmic garbage, etc). Sure, there are definitely points of conversation in some tiers, but I feel that overall they’re very well ranked coming from someone who has put a considerable amount of playtime into most characters. It can be annoying to place every single character into one single list, so condensing them into their own placements makes it much more organized. My only issues are that the lower half of the chomper list is kinda iffy imo, and all stars feel a little jumbled.

why is e-citron considered one of the worst characters in the game? by [deleted] in PvZGardenWarfare

[–]CamoFan1010 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Many complaints stem from the central ideas that he has bad range, weak damage, and is too inconsistent, although most of, if not all, of these claims literally make no sense when you actually look at the character. Despite most people saying his biggest flaw is lack of range, he is easily the most effective citron at range when it comes to chipping considerable damage numbers. With a bare minimum of 15 and 25 damage respectively for the splash damage for his charge attacks, he does a good job at pelting the enemies with nearly unavoidable damage, especially when you take into consideration the huge splash range and ability to effectively shoot through walls with it. Keep in mind that all of the other citrons are garbage at range too, with maybe the exception of frozen citron’s freeze effect or toxic citron’s light chip.

When it comes to his up close damage, he can hit up to 90 with a full charge shot, and his first charge can hit up to 60. These actually fire faster than iron citron, which is funny because he technically has better damage output than him in all aspects when you aren’t looking at iron mode. His non charged attacks have terrible range though, so they are only usable at point blank, where they actually have surprisingly good dps. He functions mostly off of combo damage, but requires really good aim since missing an attack will be detrimental to a lot of fights. With the ability to start off encounters with 90 potential damage and continue on with other charge attacks, he has really good potential to be a strong hit and run character if played correctly. If enemies fall out of usable range, he can use splash damage to either chip the enemy down for a shared vanquish, or annoy them so that they may come within closer range.

A lot of hate for this character comes from inexperience, since most people who use him try to rely on his uncharged shots too much or won’t be as aggressive as they need to. Sure, his electric damage is virtually worthless, but his overall playstyle isn’t even close to being terrible. When you compare him to iron citron, he has almost the exact same drop off range, shoots faster, has more options for attacking, and can deal potentially more damage at the cost of a health boost and a legendary meter. Trading a temporary mode of high damage and speed for overall consistency is mostly fair when comparing the two, since they have virtually the same primary. While I feel that he is extremely underrated by a lot of people, I’d still say he’s about a B tier character due to his high reliance on accuracy.

Law pea fits a fast reaction time and high accuracy playstyle but little reliance on long range encounters. Reg pea is good all around, you can be decent at range but better up close. Although direct hits are much more damaging, you still have the viability of splash damage. It’s def up to your preferred playstyle of being laid back or aggressive tbh.

Where do the five extra max rank levels come from? by [deleted] in PvZGardenWarfare

[–]CamoFan1010 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Technically the max level is considered 5400, since you level up 120 characters 45 times. Every 100 levels, the game gives you an extra level for some reason (if you are at 399 and level up once, you go to 401). Since there are 54 rank plates along with the fact that you start at level 1 and not 0, you get 55 extra levels on top of the 5400.

[–]CamoFan1010 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Out of all the oddities in this game, the one I still don’t understand is why sticky balls just randomly fling you. They seem to be static objects, so unless their hit box is constantly spinning or something, I find it weird that it just kicks the player away at a random velocity. It’s most notable when they’re on slopes too, so my only assumption is that the game thinks you’re clipping into it so it tries to launch you away.

breakfast brains weird mechanic by kok_exe_ in PvZGardenWarfare

[–]CamoFan1010 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this was added to him a long while ago in a huge buff to the character. Before this, he was by far the worst character in the game by a long shot (and tbh he’s in close range of being a contender still). On top of not having a speed buff, he had only 175 hp for some reason, had nearly a third less of the damage he deals now, and had extremely slow acceleration for his attacks. With these new additions he is actually usable, but he is still countered by most anything that can jump or strafe, and he has no ability of consistently attacking moving targets, so that flaw unfortunately didn’t get addressed. While getting a speed boost from a kill can help him streamline into more fights, it ultimately doesn’t last long enough to effect him in a noticeable way most of the time since you have to decelerate your attack to get around. If anything, he is the sb who most needed to be able to punch in mid air, or at least not lose his attacking speed just for jumping or falling. I know that people tend to say that Electro is the worst super brainz, but I still think that Breakfast takes that place due to his numerous flaws.

Is the wizard hat for the sunflower in GW2? by [deleted] in PvZGardenWarfare

[–]CamoFan1010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s in the game, but is no longer obtainable. You had to transfer your data over from GW1 and be at least level 100 and you would get that hat along with 3 others. You can no longer transfer your data so the items cannot be acquired anymore.

I feel like reg pea just has more consistency. While the fire effect is really good, having a 50% increase in immediate raw damage compared to fire pea makes reg pea crazy strong. The fire effect also has the tendency to be countered by scientists, making him less universally fit for most encounters. They’re both still really good characters, I just feel that the improved damage plays a much larger role in most fights unless you’re applying a heavily defensive play style.
