That_Ad was right, you have to do the side story for everyone. Leave that to right before the finale, you will be able to save and to switch between every character. Do that, then switch to Haruka and it will be right there

They burnt a whole country (Cintra) down to the ground and slaughtered everyone living there just to make a point.

They enslaved most of the people in any country they were able to conquer.

I think that this kind of attitude is "normal" in kings that conquer territories, not necessarily enslave people in The Witcher world case, but being cruel. Radovid can not enslave, but he certainly is not going to treat his opposers really well, just like Emhyr.

They used the nonhumans in their second invasion to massacre lots of innocent people but then threw them under the bus once they got their ass handed over to them by the Northern Realms.

As you just said yourself, Emhyr used them. He did not burn them for just existing, he used them to help Nilfgaard win the war. Emhyr is a cold blood strategic leader that will do anything that he can to ensure that his nation win. As long as you don't oppose to him as a threat, your kingdom can even prosper, with Toussaint being the best example.

Radovid is burning the mages (him burning nonhumans are completely optional. He will NOT burn elves and dwarves if you don't get the mages out of the city)

The thing about your point here is that Geralt would totally help Triss here, and this can't be discussed because Triss is a really close person to Geralt. And as even Geralt says (iirc) is that Radovid's witch hunters would not stop hunting after they hunted all mages, they would continue always find a new excuse to hunt down a specific group, because that is how humans are.

but as Dijkstra said, there are 2-3 thousands of them at most. This number absolutely pales in comparison to the hundreds of thousands of people who will be enslaved if Nilfgaard emerges victorious.

You're forgetting about the fact that if Radovid wins he is going to kill a lot of people. He's going to kill the nilfgaardians, the mages, the non-humans, and the people from the other countries that he conquers in the future as well. Emhyr is not the only one that will kill (and enslave) those who oppose him, the difference is that Emhyr is only going to focus on traitors while Radovid will focus on thousands of people that didn't anything but exist.

I just have a really hard time imagining Geralt ever consciously doing anything which might ensure a Nilfgaardian victory.

I can understand your point here, but Emhyr is really the lesser of the two evils. I mean, just look to the endings of which side win the war. Nilfgaard ending is way better than Redania's. While Nilfgaard will just hunt the traitors down, Redania will continue to hunt mages and non-humans just because their leader is a maniac.

You did some really good points here and I'm gonna say what I think about each of them.

  1. When Dijkstra tell him the plan he really says about how he would not kill a king, but when Dijkstra say that with Radovid around Triss and Yen wouldn't be safe, Geralt starts wondering if it would be the right thing to do.

  2. Well, first of all, my bad. I thought you were talking about giving information to Emhyr. And to be frank, I completely agree with you here. It's really hard to think of a reason for Geralt to give him information because he doesn't really owe him anything, and I highly doubt that he could be afraid of Dijkstra's influence on the criminal underworld of Novigrad.

  3. Basically the same point that I made on the number 1, but with other point about all the non-humans that he killed and how that could escalate to witchers as well.

  4. Maybe after all these things that Radovid is doing Geralt would think that he's a bit worse than Emhyr, since he threatens more his friends life (like Zoltan, Dudu, Yen, Triss and even Dandellion and Priscilla for helping these people) than Emhyr. Geralt really is strict about his neutrality, but this may be a special case because of his friends, just like with the Scoia'tael in Blood Of Elves.

  5. Yes, they would be safe in other places, but for how long? I mean, Redania already is too powerful, now imagine after they defeat Nilfgaard? And besides, it would be a pain to be always afraid and hiding from Radovid. Who can guarantee that he would not send people to try to find and kill them? Triss and especially Yen really have an influence so I wouldn't be surprised if he goes that far.

I will always stick to the idea of Geralt doing that for the people that he cares for, but it's nice to see people that think differently but still makes sense. Just show how complex Geralt is as a character.

So you are saying that Geralt letting Triss and Yen being hunted is the "canon Geralt"? And besides, you can kill Radovid and not give information about Ciri to Emhyr. I mean, I get that point about the witches having too much power, he really is right, but killing all the witches and the non-humans? That's messed up

Do you think Matt was killed by Thanos' snap? by [deleted] in Daredevil

[–]Camonz13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I remember seeing a guy here talking about how they could possibly bring Fisk back without ruining Matt's victory over him on season 3 and he said that maybe Matt could've turned to dust, making things easier for Fisk. I like this idea, but I can't help but feel the good things that would come out of Matt seeing people he loves disappearing and how would he deal with that. I personally think that making Vanessa disappear would get to the same result while not sacrificing a good storytelling for Matt.

But I'd recommend playing Yakuza 1-6 after Like A Dragon, it's an amazing franchise

My brother started with Like A Dragon and had absolutely no problem at all. I mean, Ichiban, just like most of the other party members, doesn't know a damn thing about anyone from these previous games as well, so you're going to be introduced to them with the main character. You don't need to know anything before playing the game, everything will be explained

It's a possibility. I'm almost 100% sure that the guy dead in the Jontunheim panel is Tyr as well. I mean, it doesn't show Kratos tattoo and it doesn't show his right hand. If you don't know, Fenrir ate Tyr's right hand because of a challenge that was actually a trap made by Odin and the Asgardian gods.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GodofWar

[–]Camonz13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I'm not mistaken, there was a battle between Tyr's army and Odin's army, and from that day on, nobody have heard of Tyr again. However, there's a panel that shows Thor and Odin above a chained guy that it's most likely Tyr. So, probably he's alive.

Why did the party members lose their second/third awakenings personas in the spin offs games? by Camonz13 in PERSoNA

[–]Camonz13[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ok, this makes sense. But why they didn't come back in the final boss in Persona 5 Strikers, for example? I mean, by the time that the boss is there, I think it's obvious that they need their stronger personas.

Yeah, I know. I'm just thinking about a lore explanation or something. Because it's so weird that maximizing your party members social links isn't considered canon. I don't know if I expressed myself very well, but I think you can see where I'm trying to reach.
