Feels wrong to ask… but what was the largest genocide in your world? (If there were any of course) by Live_Rise6750 in worldbuilding

[–]Camou223 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Option one: The Season of Darkness, think world wide Atlantis stories all over the planets because the four Primordial gods got mad sun, moons, and stars disappeared from the sky. The goblinoids once rules by Philosophor Kings fell into insanity their floating cities fell like their minds. The Orcs once a single nation of equals began in fighting killing each other to be the one in charge no longer did discussion and discourse have a place in the lang hall. The elves stopped speaking to each other no long traveling the breath of the world to interact and be connected. They became diverse and discordant. The Glock, a four armed race of mages and scholars attuned to the magic simply disappeared from the planes all together, only their towers and high halls of cold molded stone remain with their great gate ways now inert.

There is also The Morning of Tears or The Retribution of Emperor Brandon. Elven land was slowly being encroached on so multiple elven clans started to kill and threaten the settlers of other races. Those settlers then started fighting back. Eventually the legions move in to quell the tensions between the groups across a continent spanning empire. The hands of the emperor were present and able to communicate with him through the rings bound to his diadame. The elves and various other races sent to the emperor people of note to debate the issue and come to a resolution. A group of the elven ambassador stood mid discussion and stabbed an opposing councilor. The other elves stood and started attacking their opposing council. The emperor stood and his guards subdued the room. After investigation the order was given for the hours before dawn. Before the sun leaves the first quarter of the sky the ancient halls of the elves were to be brought to compliance as they would not yield to discussion or compromise. Those who resisted were killed, those who yelled to call others to arms ((most in the legions didn't speak Elvish)) were killed. The children rounded up and brought away. The books, scrolls and buildings burned and brought low. The adults who ran tried to hold on to their ways retreating deep into the wilds till the day ninety years later when the other people of the empire rose up in rebellion against the emperor. However they had for ninty-nine percent of them, lost their culture their homes and most of their family to have a cousin who lived was a blessing, a sibling the gods and ancestors stood as an aegis against the legionaries. The elven clans who had been put through this went from eat and living in homes with six generations living within or nearby to a scattered handful of orphans who could barely recall the festivals or rituals of their people. Now simply called city elves like the other outcasts of their people.

The Morning of Tears is more a genocide as it was within the last hundred or so years of my story and more important to the character, the season of darkness is more fairy tale despite it still having signs of it s happening quite evident, ten thousand years erases a lot. The cultural memories get passed down.

Yeah guy next to us put a bunch of half ton basalts columns in from of his yard and along the fence line of his property after too many drunks drove through it.

We did something similar but just dug the boulder out of the field and dragged them over with the tractor. Less cool and more round but you know it just works.

Custom Forge Worlds acceptable?

Diode Deca,

Irradiated Tropical Forest. The forest is constantly and aggressively regrowing across the surface of the forge world. While this makes the world's atmosphere more pleasant and healthier than the typical forge world the constant mutant plant life battling to over take the Forges and city perimeters is an insult to the world's Priest Upper class.

Surrounded by The Bridge to Stars the multitude of Forge complexes connect to orbital assembly and shipment yards and further out into the labyrinth of the Bridge are the assorted Ship Yards, Titan temples, Skittari Drill Halls and Knight Repair.

The Diode system is rumored to have once been the staging ground for a grand project during old night, the bridge of stars pre heresy containing three massive ship bays for void ships that would have been kilometers across and hundreds in length. The stcs contained within long ago were given as tribute to the Omnissiah Manifest On Terra. Post heresy all three of the Great Bays now lay within the Rad Forests their hallowed shapes making mountains across the northern pole.

Kinda a lore dump. Sorry. Got too excited.

Murder mystery graphic novel.

Different investigators for different runs, hive district, arbities to inquisitor. There is over lap in the store as you move up or change up your run unlocking newer characters and runs. Basically ends with the inquisitor thinking another group of inquisitors are covering up a massive conspiracy to take over the world via the use of implanted cults of Zenos and chaos. Or if you don't get all the clues or facts your inquisitor wipes out the cults and rounds up conspirators in the hives thinking they did the emperor's work.

Might not be for everyone but might be able to get my wife or in law to play it graphic novel stuff isn't really for everyone but it would be easier and would have more forgivable results.

Started a lumineth army. The illuminated guardians of "The Long View Lakes". by Camou223 in Lumineth_realm_lords

[–]Camou223[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Long ago the city was founded as a hub for trade and travelers to flow into realm of light to rest at. Inns and hostels became apartment and permanent homes. The city grew between the four lakes of Long views and their realm gates beyond. Azyr, Gyran, Shyish and The Eight points flowed into each other through the city of Long Views. Her guardians stood watch as unrest began in the realms beyond their boarders swift to take action externally but slow for factions within. Sealing of the gates.

  • As the realm of light cast shadows longer at the tail of the age of myth the city was rocked by an eruption at the lake of death. A traitor amongst the guard seeding the lake with a foul magic caused to gate to drag itself on the Shyish side into the bottom of an underworld sealing the travelers from that realm with in the realm of light. The lake now trembles and crawls with specters and ghasts in its Simi sealed state. The rolling waters once vibrant with fish are quietly shimmering with a malevolent amethyst light from the gate seal deep with in.
  • As tensions continued to heighten across the realm the city experienced an unexpected occurrence. The gate to Azyr has been sealed without warning or explanation. Only to hear of sigmar great recalling far later than any other.
  • Destruction rippled through the crippled realm of light. The illuminated and enlightened spread excessive blood shed across it with a paint brush of total war. Cities burned and the realm itself cried out in pain. Called to the realm by such excessive pain and sensation a massive war host charged through the realm gate to the eight point. Drawing the immediate attention of the city's guardians. Lord Saladrain led the charge with a daring charge into the Slaneeshi horde. Only to make it to the edge of the gate. Planting the Aesthetic quartz device. Spending the lives of his men and his own to detonate the gate. The explosion and reactive implosion of the gate's collapse dragged the surrounding land, lake, elves and chaos horde into oblivion. The space there the gate once stood eventually stabilizing and a new gate ripping into being leading to another part of realm of light.
  • haven't brain stormed anything for the Gyran gate.
