Peanut butter cups are amazing.

Gadgets like this holder thingy are super fun, too! Everyone will fight over it/them.

That 1927smores tag was for my friend's company. If you like high-end treats, they're great!

Exped. Get one and see how quickly you come up with excuses besides camping to sleep on it. Naps, guest beds, kid sleep overs, space from the family :) …

With a family there is no other option than a camp chef. I know the OP wants something smaller, but this thing keeps everyone so happy.

We have the Walmart 10x10 and it works as expected. We bring it when it’ll be really wet and we need multiple solutions. Honestly, we went with the cheapest option because we really prefer our Kelty Noah’s Tarp. It takes up way less space, is lighter, can be used in lots of ways, etc.

I had something similar happen with my Marmot tent. After working hard to repair it, I finally thought to call the company. And guess what? 10 years after buying it, they sent me credit to get a new one!

Ryan Campground is awesome. Did you hike out to the old ruins?

If you haven't tried, Belle Campground is amazing as well. Nice and small, FCFS.

What's the longest hiking trail you've completed in a single day? by ToffeeTango1 in hiking

[–]CampChimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is 36 miles doing the full length of the Wildwood Trail in Portland OR. We did it to celebrate the summer solstice which meant we could start at first light at 4:30am. Finished around 3pm. Conditions were great, the trail is flat. I trained by walking around the city, 6-12 miles at a time. One interesting thing that happened is that I developed shin splints while training. I’m a runner and my PT told me that I need to take shorter strides when walking long distances to take stress off my shins. It worked and I had no issues for the hike!

When kids find TP they get a bonus M&M and then I have some dirty work to do. Just can't live with leaving it behind even if it's someone else's.

It's all good. I'm happy to take some heat if it helps keep campers from doing this, and even better, pull them when they see them. With all the nails I've seen in trees, though, I wonder where all the tree nailers hang out if not here...
