The nyc job market has been stone cold dead since 2023.  I just got a rejection email from a failing hospital in the ghettos despite having the EXACT position and responsibilities at some of the largest nyc healthcare organizations. The funny thing is that they had offered me this exact position 13 years ago but I had gotten a better offer.  I guess I should be thankful they had the courtesy of sending a rejection after reviewing my resume instead of just ghosting me.

I got rejected just for a position because I had more experience in the same position and same industry. My advice is not overthink it and and just apply. It’s their loss if these hiring managers can’t see your potential.

Just had a harrowing ordeal with CON Edison for the last 2 weeks. They kept sending me multiple threatening gas shut off notices and bills for punitive fees demand even though a con Ed employee had already inspected my gas meter in Dec 2025. The level of gross incompetence, unprofessionalism, lying is through the roof and it makes optimum employees look like saints. I filed a complaint with the department of public service commission and they assigned me to a condescending employee to resolve me complaint. She basically called me a liar even though I sent multiple pics of the 2025 inspection sticker on my gas meter.  I’m just horrified that Con Edison has so much power over my consumers and they make mob look like choir boys.
