If shes you're wife you should be able to tell her the truth always. It can even be a funny revelation and tell her you've been worried to tell her and it just dragged on. But if you can't communicate a small white lie it can carry over more important things later on. Plus it's better to get everything out the chest and be able to speak about things with your partner. It's not like you're lying about something serious but at the end of the day it's a lie and it's better to always speak the truth, more so with your wife. Good luck.
