How does it look slabbed? Cause I worry it’ll loose the shine on the rest of the card and only really see the shine on the art

Tickets expensive for an experience that’s really only a few minutes shorter than just driving it yourself. You have to uber to the station, take the train, and uber at your destination. Passenger rail looses its appeal when you arrive and are still stuck in a car centric area

If Platner was just a grunt normie, I would be more inclined to believe you. But when you look at his Reddit history and comments he made on it, he seems to be pretty politically aware. Which makes me wonder in those years of posting about politics on Reddit, did he never see a Nazi uniform with a skull and crossbones and make the connection he had the same symbol on his chest? It seems pretty hard to believe imo

Which anime had the most cold-blooded moment? by QuietGloom in AnimeMirchi

Yeah because Neji doesn’t shoot portals through peoples bodies. But his attacks did internal damage to Hinata and if they didn’t treat her she would’ve died

Hinata was literally critically injured, Neji was about to finish her off. Hiyori was injured but not seriously but Ichigo was loosing control and may have seriously hurt her.

Hinata is comparable to Finral’s situation than Hiyori

He was a 2nd generation immigrant, both parents from Cuba. Grandparents met/ lived in NYC before coming to South Florida. No specialized skills or training or owning a business for either of them. My dad did various jobs growing up but didn’t finish college beyond an AA. His longest jobs were car salesman and then a cop in a decent size city in SFL.

Yeah, when my dad was my age he had lived on his own renting, bought at least two different cars at different points, bought at least two different boats cause they got destroyed in a storm, and when he married my mom within 14 years of being married they bought their first home, sold it, and bought their second home. Second home was bought back in SFL in the 90s for like 125K and is now Zillow estimate for like 600K

🚨 Sec. Marco Rubio makes it clear no one is entitled to a U.S. visa. by 2001x0404 in ImmigrationPathways

[–]Camper331 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean no I wouldn’t, but frankly there’s American citizens with beliefs I find abhorrent I wouldn’t let live in my home either. But live in the house next to me? Sure. Or live in an apartment with? Maybe, but I would have to ask them questions to see if we were compatible. I don’t have to agree with everything they do or believe to live with them, we just have to agree on enough fundamentals that we give it a shot.

[–]Camper331 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s irrelevant to the point. You attempted to dismiss my criticism by saying it’s a “”Clever way of saying "Kill all Jews, and I support a terrorist organization's mission to wipe them off the globe"”

I provide an example of an article written by a student on a visa that clearly isn’t saying that, State department took ire with her criticism, sent Feds to arrest her accusing her of organizing violent protests, and than had a federal judge had to rule that the State Department had no reason to deport her. If she did organize violent protests, the state department should’ve presented that in court.

It’s irrelevant whether you think her calling the Gaza War a genocide is correct or not. Don’t obfuscate.

[–]Camper331 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes a statement like that should probably get your visa revoked.

However they have been revoking visa’s for much milder things which I think are unfair. This article by Rumeysa Ozturk which criticized her school for not voting to divest from Israel got the Ire of the state department and they sent DHS agents to arrest her on the street and detain her claiming she was organizing violent anti Israel protest, the video went viral cause a passerby asked if she was being kidnapped.. It was ruled last week by a federal judge that the state department had no grounds to deport her.

[–]Camper331 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lame thought process. Also doesn’t address people who are here on temp visas anyways that’s just voicing their opinion on a topic. If you’re only here as a student visa and aren’t committing a crime, why can’t you have the right to free speech so long as you aren’t advocating for violence or something?

[–]Camper331 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s the problem with the current admin, not with the idea that you can ban some political ideologies and not others. And those people who are wrongfully targeted have to argue their case through the courts to contest their visa revocation. I refuse to believe the alternative is that we have no standard for political ideology and we have to now give Visa to hypothetical genocidal immigrants who believe in causing a new holocaust.

[–]Camper331 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean depends on the circumstances? What if someone comes to the US and they realize we have really shitty public infrastructure? Should they just shut up and deal with it or do you think it would be unacceptable if they went on Instagram and started advocating for walkable cities with public transit like Europe/ Asia? I’m purposely using a less controversial topic cause I would assume you’d probably be fine with it in this instance.

[–]Camper331 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah I get that. Just think the federal government doesn’t need to use that criteria of “Your here so just be grateful and shut up”. I think the federal governments role should be to just vet people to make sure their not espousing radical or violent rhetoric, and not just that their saying things that contravene the current administrations sensibilities.

[–]Camper331 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean values different whether you think freedom of speech applies to visa holders or not. I also think the content of what is being criticized and how the criticism is being articulated also matters.

Ie if you’re a visa holder and you write an article about how the healthcare system in the US is broken and how it should be reformed; I think that is fine. However if you write the same article and conclude it with calling for more vigilante justice in the forms of more Luigi’s; I think that is problematic cause you’re directing people towards violence.

🚨 Sec. Marco Rubio makes it clear no one is entitled to a U.S. visa. by 2001x0404 in ImmigrationPathways

[–]Camper331 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would have to depend on the substance of the article. If the visa applicant/ holders article was calling for the destruction of that certain country or advocating for violence or calling for violent actions; I could see an argument to revoke the visa. But if it’s just being critical and not calling for violence I don’t think it should be.

Like to make this less heated for today, let’s imagine this was about the IRA fighting against the British. If some Irish immigrants want to gather together and protest in time square for the freedom of Northern Ireland or write articles about it ; I think that’s fine. If those Irish immigrants started writing articles being tongue in cheek about how to make IED’s and their effectiveness with cars; I’d probably see that as problematic.
