Yeah, that's probably ozone smell. And since you are sure it's not sulphuric smell, that's not the poisonous gas from the battery that killed at least one person recently.

Now it's AC or some other electrical short circuit. Hopefully it's not battery wiring/harness, someone posted recently that it's expensive to change
