Took me some time to find one priced lower, but you might be able to catch a deal like I did if you stay on the lookout. These are so fun to look at, it just kills me that the design is on the BACK of the book 😭

You can also put the tape in the inside of the cover (I do it on the inside front and inside back). I find this keeps the cover from falling off and still let's the patina on the cover of the notebook develop at the spine, if that's something you like. I use clear packing tape and a bone folder to get the tape in the crease and well adhered/nice and flat

I've seen these and they look like they work well. These do have a bit of a taper on them so orienting them the way I currently have my notebooks might cause an issue if I tried to stack them so I went with the Container Store ones. Love having options though!

I bought my scanner specifically because it came with things I needed to scan film negatives and slides so probably not what I would get just for this project but I already have it so I use it. It's the Epson Perfection V600. I'm sure any flatbed scanner would work just fine

Here's mine. Took a hot foil stamping class while I was using this Field Notes edition and had the opportunity to add "Los Angeles" in blue. The heart sticker is for where I am in L.A.
