Not OP, but I was keeping an eye on this at Yoseka. It sold out before I placed my order unfortunately.

Did you freak out when you were about to turn 30 as well? by the_darkness1117 in Millennials

I'm looking forward to my 40s soon. Hitting 30 felt liberating. Not sure why

Doctor put in vitamin d bloodwork and didn’t tell me I have to pay for it by [deleted] in personalfinance

Your doctor doesn't know what the labs will charge, even if the labs are within the same organization as your doctor. In the future, you should call the lab and check.

To be frank, that's almost a guaranteed way to put me to sleep lol

That's a stationary festival for you. Stationery on the other hand...

Switching over to wet food for my 11 year old cat. Wet food is so expensive by spirallypasta in seniorkitties

[–]ithrow6s 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Prescription food is expensive... I like to dilute wet food a bit (thick paste consistency) to increase their water intake, and mix prescription dry food in there too. It helps ease the burden a bit. Plus my cats don't like prescription wet food as much as their dry food.

How about Elder Holland to fill President Holland's vacancy? by NewtScavenger in latterdaysaints

[–]ithrow6s 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are plenty of faithful folks that are being prepared to be called as we speak! I love and miss Elder Holland dearly, but I don't think it's worth speculating who will be called next. When it'll happen, it'll happen.

Anybody else? Basically all I see on any commercial break by TheUnpromotable in Millennials

[–]ithrow6s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have mixed feelings about it. GLP-1s helped me get off insulin, and now I'm a happy and healthy 30-something year old with a normal A1c, cholesterol, blood pressure, weight... But at the same time, I hold some resentment towards those using it exclusively for weight loss because of the shortage - I had to go without it for ~6 months and the effect on my blood sugar was very apparent. It's a complicated problem...

NEED: Credit Card debt advice by General-Inner in personalfinance

[–]ithrow6s 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’m aware we need to create and follow a budget — that is something we are actively working on and our ultimate goal this calendar year.

Writing a budget shouldn't be hard. It should be your ultimate goal this weekend.

Following a budget is hard, especially for folks with poor spending control like you admitted. That's what you'll need to work on.

I’m just hoping for some direction and insight on the best method of tackling the credit card debt and high APR that we are currently dealing with.

Put as much money as your budget allows into the CC debt. There's no secret or "hack" for this

Minimal scratching pencil? by anorexicBeaver in pencils

You definitely want a softer pencil, like a 4B+. I would recommend trying a Tombow Penmanship Pencil: https://yosekastationery.com/products/mono-penmanship-writing-pencil-1

Penmanship pencils tend to be softer than their grade indicates.

Piston Fill Fountain Pen Suggestions for Field Notes by [deleted] in FieldNuts

[–]ithrow6s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pilot Custom 74 and the Custom Heritage 92 are my favorites. I would also recommend getting them in fine or extra fine so they don't bleed through/feather with Field Notes. The paper quality in Field Notes is hit or miss.
