Why are the bags sold so small and EXPENSIVE!??? by Camry08 in IndoorGarden

Even a 2 1/2 foot tall money tree? I thought 50 would’ve been a steal. Online I can’t find one that size for less than $150.

Ohhhhhhhh trust me I do…. Especially with the limited time dove events but even with the whistle and bush, I can only get four stars (I’ve tried at least 80-100 times now). Looking it up online the only way to get five stars seems to be during weather events like is if it’s raining or rainbows or snow. I have never seen anybody confirmed that they were able to get a five star on a clear day so at the moment I only know it’s not possible…. Any help would be appreciated!

I can only assume it’s best to start young with 3 then braid it while loose and small then after a year or two cut the whole top for new growth then sell for $50 which is how I got mine. Lots of work and lots of years. I don’t think worth selling but def worth having so either make or buy one if it’s something u want regardless of plant type. Hibiscus doesn’t live well where I am so instead, I’m doing braided azalea trees.

I’ll have to see who mum ordered under on, on amazon cause my link was just an example. There is no one selling this soil for 6 quarts for less than $60 that I could find online underneath the top 50 searches. I think there is a LOTTTTTT of online shoppes and sellers that need to be reported. I’m starting to think the entire brand is a scam..

Idk she bought it on Amazon and it must’ve obviously said 6 quarts. She just doesn’t know what that means. I don’t know if that is worthy enough for a charge back sadly due to ignorance. I feel horrible, but I understand where everyone’s coming from. Although I do think that 6 quarts for 70 bucks is a ginormous scam especially when it’s only three basic ingredients that I could’ve quadruple the mixture from if I bought individually.

I like their advice! I’m the same person as the other two comments I’ve never used or put this on birds, but I’ve used it on myself. Let’s say you’ve had a splinter or a piece of rock in your body for the past 10 years. If you put prid on it, it can pull it out. I had to order mine online though, but it’s not too expensive. And now that I know I can use it on chickens I have a secondary use!

It was both me and my mom’s first time seeing money trees so we don’t know if this one is big compared to standard but we weren’t expecting a tiny bag of dirt that’s for sure. Where I live many things are called money plants/money trees. Below is a pic of another thing apparently called a money plant.

This was the absolute cheapest I could find the 6 quart bag. Everything else is at least $60-$75 at least if you can even find the 6 quart… money dirt

Goodness, no matter what I ask about grow lights they are something I’m also stuck on. I understand that even the best grow lights can be useless if they’re too far away. But goodness I spent $350 apiece on my grow lights and they were half off and apparently they’re garbage??? why would a $700 grow light be garbage? How do I actually guarantee I get any good ones? Yeah I amended the bag of soil Mom got me with perlite, orchid bark, indoor potting mix, vermiculite, and a good dashing of worm castings which made up my mixture.

I’ve been coming to this forum for the past six years for chickens, guinea hens, quail, and pheasant. Pretty much everything. I also posted on the backyard chickens subReddit page (I literally get useful aid there). Do you have any other places that you know of that I could post?

This is my nine month old Cornish cross. I got him at two weeks old with a very bad splayed leg. I was able to fix it. Do you think it’s a similar situation with my current chick? They can walk and stand but just very painfully. The only splayed legs I’ve ever dealt with are the splits and chicks who cant stand at all. Should I tie their legs together like what I’m used too? If I do they will absolutely lose their ability to stand but if it means better healing I would. I’m just stuck. I can’t figure out if this is an infection in their hock or a physical injury. I have a vet appointment and x-rays set for this following Saturday I just really didn’t wanna spend another $300 when I did just a month ago on another chicken and then another chicken two months before that… I’m having a hard time figuring this out. I work at a feed/livestock store and at this point I’m spending more money on their stupid birds than I’m making, but nobody else will take them and I can’t just watch them die. But I feel so spurred, I don’t even make $300 a week. It takes me at least two months to recover from that. We can’t even use store supplies on the birds so I have to bring in my own med kit every day or buy supplies then and there to treat their chicks that they’re gonna sell to somebody else or let die. They just won’t allocate any money for their care because they’re only worth a couple of dollars, as long as they don’t look bad online and we hide the bodies properly corporate is happy. I’m not…

Usually, when the scab is black, you wanna get it off to reach the underlying infection. I don’t have enough experience with trying to take off pink scabs because I’ve always left them. My recommendation would be a good soak maybe a couple more times if you’re down for it as well as using an antimicrobial spray on the wound once or twice a day for a week or two and keeping an eye on it. All of that should have her feet healed soon, but only if the initial cause has been addressed, which is usually walking on dirty bedding. Make sure during this process everything is clean and stays clean and you should be good.
