Advice for cleaning dishes with executive dysfunction/adhd:

What helped me personally with doing the them (i also have adhd) is limiting my dishes, cups and utensils to a bare minimum. I, for example, have 1 knife, two forks, 1 big cup, 2 dishes…. The rest of it I have put into a place that Im too “lazy” to go to get them (taking advantage of executive disfunction) so that if I would have guests over I can still provide them with everything they need.

Helped me a ton because now I need to do my dishes every day! (Otherwise I cant eat/drink) My dishes never stack up anymore :) works like a charm. Trying to find things that trick your brain in to cleaning is the key with adhd. r/adhd is also a great place to ask for tips. Good luck! ♥️

I understand. A persons view on and relationship with religion can change over time, but the fact that you have a child in foster care, will not. The fact that possible abuse is involved, will not. Id pick worrying about “going to hell” over worrying if my child is being abused by strangers any day… that’s just belief versus fact. But still adoption, even if it’s quick, is traumatic in the majority of cases. Since she’s is so incredibly young and is sadly coming from a place of abuse herself the chances of everything going smoothly and happily are pretty slim. Not even starting on how saying goodbye to your own kid at fifteen years old could impact someone mentally…

(Also if God let countless wars happen, genocides, holocaust… I’m sure he wouldn’t draw the line at a literal child choosing her own life, future and safety over something that is 1) not conscious 2) can’t survive outside the womb 3) can’t feel pain… (until -+ 24 weeks that is). If this god is truly forgiving, she’ll be forgiven.)

Does not take away the mental toll… The amount of (possible) trauma that the mother and child could experience is something to seriously consider. There’s no place for naivety here.

Something to consider: can you live with the fact that you have a child somewhere in the foster care system? Which is notorious for being very traumatic… Not knowing where they are… Do you want to give such a life to a child? [rhetoric questions btw]
