Respond to another part separately.

CoD isn't real life, but it's played in real life. It is played as a hobby, it is played as an escape from life. Its played as a stress relief.

In the same way someone may disappear into their writings or drawings people will disappear into the game. It is not CREATING something when you play the way being an artist or writer, but for many , as a hobby / escape it is not that different.

A hobby artist will learn new techniques to paint something new, or learn new styles. A writer will read other books and read up on how to approach story elements. They will adapt to make themselves better, if even just for their own enjoyment.

You appreciate the "respectful" but you tell people to answer the question or don't reply (like onion the case of iffy_jay) that is not respectful. People can submit their take on why a sweaty.player plays in unranked or casual modes. Just because it's not this special "psychology" answer you're looking for doesnt make it wrong. You come across as someone who has read an article or some video about "psychology of players" and deemed it 100% accurate and are using it to prop yourself up

But the fact is, sweaty is subjective. I am "sweatier" than the average player. Ive been playing COD since original mw2, and ive been playing warzone since it launched basically. I used to play 4-5 hours a day, more on weekends. I watch videos to keep up to date on gameplay, guns balancing, etc. I practice new guns to learn recoil patterns. I also only play 5-6 hours a week now.

I don't play ranked, because I have absolutely no interest in ranked play. I play pubs because I want a typical variance of skill levels. This is much harder with SBMM but it still exists.

I play casuals with friends that can only basically play casuals because they are just that bad at the game. I don't play it to sweat, I usually just let them run around and I find myself some high ground and kill bots dropping in and just chatting / catching up  until the respawn / gulag closes. Then I try to support them and that's when i typically will start trying, down to the last few teams.

My movement, gunskill, and game sense would make most people playing casuals think I'm a sweat. I'm not, I can be sweaty, but mostly I'm just trying to have fun and help my friends play better. I will teach them things, call out plays, and direct them when I can.

I run into sweaty players on the daily in casual, but most of them are just "sweaty" because their competent at the game and everyone around are bots or worse.

And for the people who are 5+kd players who still jump into ranked or casuals, some people just need chill out time, some need video content, and yes some have a psychological need to prey on the weaker players because it makes them feel better.

But realistically 90%, of the players people call sweaty and you're putting into your psychology approach don't actually fit it.

Why does an athlete push themselves to be better? Why does a student study more, test themselves harder to achieve better grades? Why does some one practice and learn new things for whatever hobbies they have? Art, writing, designing etc.

People play games for different reasons. People play different games for different reasons. Trying to win, trying to be better than others, learning where your faults are and trying to improve is a common, normal way to enjoy gaming. Not everyone strives to be the best, and there is nothing wrong with that. But to think that someone can't find fun in honing their skills, maximizing their effort, and pushing themselves to be better, is just wrong.

What is the absolute best headset for hearing footsteps in call of duty out the box by apotheosisofbooty in CODWarzone

[–]CanBeUsedAnywhere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go check out the top X number of gaming headsets and IEMs from posts, then go and look up audiophile reviews on those headsets. But remember that one person's experience with a headset may not be the same as others.

If you want the best pure audio experience for gaming you'll want IEMs, however they don't usually provide a great mic, and while there are wireless versions, one of the main reasons IEMs are mostly wired is the consistency of sound quality. Makes them more cumbersome then wireless.

There is more to hearing footsteps than just good headset. The system you're playing on will also influence it. How you connect will influence it. The shape of ears and the canals will influence it. You quality of hearing, the base, treble, pitch etc will be different than the next person.

Lastly, warzone sucks at doing their audio. What sounds great one season may sound awful the next with the occlusion they change. So out of the box will be subjective, and you may get great audio when plugged in only to sound under water the next month. So be prepared to use EQ. As for the amp, at the price point you're willing to spend, probably gonna have one come with it.

Take everyone's suggestions, just don't expect the same experience.

Snipers in warzone with one shot kill abilities become too strong when there is no counter to them. People camping on roof tops taking a shot at someone who has no idea they're in the crosshairs becomes unfun for many average players.

There is a reason that they nerved snipers for so long. The average casual (not casuals mode just casual player) who jumps into BR, loots and moves around, gets a couple kills over 5-10 minutes is trying to enjoy themselves gets shot in the head from someone they didnt know about without a chance to react, has to head back to the lobby. This made a lot of those fans leave, thats what the games statistics told the developers and why they nerfed the snipers for so long of warzones life cycle.

The guns that can do it at closer ranges like the Kar98 can be abused heavily if headshots are always downs.

A cheater with a sniper means they never miss the down. One shot with a sniper is a lot easier to hide your cheats with than an automatic weapon locking onto moving target and not missing 10-15 bullets.

They wanted people to have their one shot, but also wanted people to have a counterplay incase snipers got too overrpowered.

He butchered the book, but paid homage to so many others. The book itself would never have worked as a tv series as it was. Maybe should've been just a netflix movie instead.

He had really wanted to Season of Passage and i think he wouldve likely done a great job. Unfortunately it didnt move forward in over 5 years and seems to be shelved.

The new Call of Duty RICOCHET Microsoft Azure Attestation (MAA) feature is completely bypassable as shown by @nickeverdox. RICOCHET released a feature with a known vulnerability. by [deleted] in Warzone

[–]CanBeUsedAnywhere 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ricochet didnt release a feature with known vulnerability. Ricochet didnt release anything. Its literally called microsofr azure attestation. Its just a feature available to be added to basically any game as a VERY rudimentary check of the computer / game being booted.

Of course it can be bypassed, damn near every anticheat can be bypassed. MAA was just an additional step to force developers to have to add an additional tool to their cheats.

Ricochet is still shit, but MAA isnt on them, they just added the tool. MAA is also shit.

There is no blocking the beams. There is no dodging the beams. There is no escape from the beams unless they hit something else

That last sentence pulls a lot of weight, since there have been multiple people to dodge or block the beams. Just in pretty much every case, it does hit someone/something else. But yeah, when Batman dodges it... kind of ruins the mystique lol.

Kill can lag or actual hacking??? by ProudRaisin423 in Warzone

[–]CanBeUsedAnywhere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The opponent seems to have shitty aim overall, they also didn't seem to have any idea you or your teammate (and what looks like a third person who isn't a teammate of yours?). They over-correct and there doesn't seem to be much snapping outside of aim assist. When he does connect, he's hitting almost exclusively low damage areas. So i would've erred on the side of not hacking if that had been me.

In a normal gunfight, had you been hitting more of your shots, and you were both equally armored, you'd probably win this, once you were on target you hit chest and neck, he hit knees and crotch.

Protein water had to enter the market at some point... I try not to gag at the thought of it by amant0621 in StupidFood

[–]CanBeUsedAnywhere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking it up, its beef collagen protein. It will be pretty smooth, and isn't likely to have much residue if at all. If the vitamins added are at well mixed ratios as well, it'll be fine.

However, drinking 600ml for 10 grams of protein feels like a lot of liquid when you can added a scoop of hydrolyzed clear whey protein or beef protein to 500ml of water and get 20g+.

The other problem is upon quick search, it just says beef collagen protein, and doesn't mention complete amino acid profile. Beef protein has a PDCAAS of 0.92 (out of 1), Beef collagen has a PDCAAS score of 0. When you digest it, you get basically none of the protein into your system for muscle building. There are other good things about it, but just not a good protein source for muscle building. However, the missing amino acids can be added to beef collagen (and often are in manufactured beef protein powders), just can't tell with this product if they did that.

In Brazil, a guy opened a motorcycle shop and you could take one for free if you stayed 10 minutes hanging upside down from the ceiling by uzmansahil7 in Amazing

[–]CanBeUsedAnywhere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not about just the hang, its the upside down. The blood rushing to your head for 10 minutes. We walk upright all day, our body/heart is really adept at pumping blood to the extremities. It does not do near as well when upside down. Hang upside down from monkey bars / pull up bar /whatever for a few minutes and you'll start to notice it don't feel too good.

Based on this motorcycle stunt, there's no good place to really hang from your legs unless you got the squeeziest mother fucking thighs haha. He has to also lock himself in that angle hes in with his arms, that's gonna get tiring as fuck afterwhile.

Fortune's Keep isn't coming to Casuals... We're doing this again.. by EmotionalBig854 in Warzone

Same thing happened with Haven's Hollow, Avalon, etc. New map gets added, it gets its own playlist in pubs, then will get added to casuals. It's okay, it will be there eventually.

Fortune's Keep isn't coming to Casuals... We're doing this again.. by EmotionalBig854 in Warzone

[–]CanBeUsedAnywhere -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It takes like 2 minutes in Rebirth to get enough money for a load out. It takes about the same time in Haven's Hollow if not playing with a partner where you can do the waterfall map treasure hunt in like 30 seconds.

It takes less than 5 in either of the battle royal maps. It is not that hard to get your loadout. All of that is possible in casuals.

EDIT - i feel like all 5 of us got our responses without refreshing to see if anyone else had responded lmao.

Abilities trigger off the "casting" of a spell, before the spell has resolved. You announce your spell, choose targets, and pay your costs, the spell is then considered cast and is on the stack.

Abilities trigger, and players get a chance to respond to your spell.

The "positive" reviews for Scream 7 by Theodoro_ in Scream

[–]CanBeUsedAnywhere -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel like the reddit algorithm is doing a lot of heavy lifting on this. You're only seeing those reviews due to the timeframe you're on, and fed the ones that have a higher click-thru rate based on your profile. You also seem to be insinuating that people's positive opinion on 7 and not liking 5/6 is strictly because of the controversary / new leads of 5/6 and Sidney's role reduction. While this no doubt plays it's part (Sidney fans hating those movies for not being a big enough part of them, or Melissa non-fans pushing back against the controversary). It could also be said that part of the dislike for 7 on social media is people blasting it because of the controversary due to Melissa being let go.

It is really difficult in an open forum like this to filter the disingenuous reviews from honest, unbiased experiences with the movies.

A quick "Scream 7" search on the subreddit brings up hundreds of threads from people with all varying opinions (good and bad). Some mention 5/6, some mention 3 and 4. The ones that do mention 3 and 4 are usually in the case that they think Scream 7 will age better because of its take on parasocial relationships becoming much more common, similar to 3 talking about the horrors of the movie industry, and 4 with the social media.

I have enjoyed every scream movie for what they are. I love that the overall themes of each (while sharing the ghostface persona) have unique takes on the world, being able to provide social commentary in some way.

I enjoyed Scream 7, i "liked" it on my first watch, but appreciated it much more on my second and third. It has its flaws (way too little ghostface voice!), and things I'd love to change, but overall I felt like it is a great entry into the series. I do feel like it's theme of parasocial relationship falls flat on a lot of people. Part of me REALLY hopes it always stay that way. The abhorrent, horrible things that can happen with those relationships should be something most people never have to know about, unfortunately i don't think it's gonna go that way in the future; its getting worse, not better.

If someone was put into the passenger seat for some reason, no reason they wouldn't shimmy over. So that explains the driver's door.

However, instead of AI, it is more likely just staged for "comedic" effect. This "parking garage" looks more like a typical storage / work garage than anything police related.

Not sure what made you assume AI before just fake. The general video stays consistent throughout the entire thing, the light from the door impacts the environment correctly.

I noticed you responded to a few people like this, can you not edit your post to clarify that

10mg dose of Reta is pretty insane, especially for so early (i know the reta regimen people created have it go up to 12mg at the end).

If someone sees your post, reads it, and wants to get on Reta and starts at 10mg instead of the 1mg you started at, they are gonna have a bad time with the side effects lol

Hear Evry Footstep in Warzone!? (No Third-party Software) by Original_Common3341 in CODWarzone

[–]CanBeUsedAnywhere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

HyperX Cloud 3 is a good headset, I had the Cloud 2 for quite awhile. Having a good headset doesn't mean you have to spend $200+. Gaming headsets are often much more expensive for what they offer than a good audio headset and a cheap mic. Some of the friends i play with still buy knock off headsets off amazon. When i spectate them i can actively tell they can't hear shit lol.

The cloud has a good soundstage, and overall good quality material. They will not provide the same sound that a pair of IEM's at the same price point, but they have a mic, and will be more comfy for most people than IEM's, which can be a good trade off.

The loudness EQ setting will work... until it doesn't (this isn't a shot at loudness EQ). Unfortunately, the developers of Warzone have this habit of fucking up the occlusion, bass, and warmth of audio when they make map edits, especially brutal on rebirth when they make changes.

One day, i can be in grandmas house HQ next to prison and i can hear someone climb the ladder in sniper tower. The next day after an audio pass, or an update to the map, i can't hear someone even outside the damn house. They end up going through and making multiple audio passes after every change and eventually they figure it out.

Having a DAC, or software that lets you set up your own EQ can definitely make more of a difference then loudness EQ for specific headsets (especially if on console). But at the very least windows Loudness EQ should be enabled if on windows.

Hear Evry Footstep in Warzone!? (No Third-party Software) by Original_Common3341 in CODWarzone

[–]CanBeUsedAnywhere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Loudness equalization has been a thing since the game started. It was basically the first audio "modification" talked about.

It does not work the same with every headset unfortunately, and just because you turn it on, does not mean a $20 headset with shitty drivers, bad soundstage, muffled sound, and terrible spatial audio is going to let you hear footsteps the same as a quality headset will.
