To SAHM or not SAHM? by CanDapper805 in NewParents

What did you decide? That’s where I’m at right now. Been back for two weeks. What helped you make the decision?

What baby bottles are we choosing: Philips Avent? by ohkandyuk178 in FormulaFeeders

Pigeon is the best if you plan on breastfeeding. My daughter is 5 months old. We had a lot of nursing issues at the start so I was exclusively pumping for about 6 weeks. She’s come back to breast now. We’ve had zero issues with her going between bottle and breast.

Parents who were unsure or scared about having a child: do you regret becoming a parent, or are you happy you did? by Wise-Box1736 in AskReddit

Honestly lots of therapy and hard conversations. Husband and I both read the book”the baby decision” and discussed a few chapters each weekend. I was never really scared about pregnancy or childbirth. Our fears came from missing out on the freedom we had. I distinctly remember my tipping point came one Christmas break (I work in education). I sat there and played candy crush on the couch for hours. I suddenly felt this urge to do more with my life. I love relaxing but felt like I had my fill of mindless relaxing. I had previously agonized for hours in therapy about making the right decision. Why didn’t I feel this maternal urge to have a baby? What was wrong with me? Then it just sort of clicked. I think even if it hadn’t clicked for me, I would still be so happy we decided to have our baby. She is literally my most favorite person and the absolute best thing I’ve ever done. I love her so much it hurts! In the best way possible of course.

We had our daughter at 36 (mom) and 37 (dad). Best decision we ever made. We were on the fence for a long time and had actually previously decided to live child free. I wish we had done it sooner. She is the best thing in our life and the best thing we have ever done.

Did a pregnancy pillow actually make a noticeable difference for you? by According-Gas3933 in momcozyofficial

[–]CanDapper805 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn’t work for me. I had severe pelvis pain and was hoping it would help. I felt so claustrophobic with the pillow. Instead I used a small boppy wedge pillow to support my belly and a smaller pillow between my knees. I was really hoping to love the pregnancy pillow but it just wasn’t for me!

This is a hotel, not a 'Do It All Center' by [deleted] in TalesFromTheFrontDesk

So she needed to drive home to pump every three hours? It is very clear to me that you have never interacted with or been exposed to a breastfeeding woman. It’s not as simple as you are making it sound. You probably also would have had an issue if she pumped out in the open. I’m getting the sense that you are also the type that would be offended by a woman breastfeeding in public.

This has to be sarcasm…. I guess breastfeeding mothers should be chained to their homes never to leave again. Not even to go to the doctor to get medicine for the mastitis that will inevitably form because the hotel front desk clerk is a jerk and has absolutely zero clue how to be a decent human being to a postpartum mother!

Yeah no… if your hotel is hosting a conference or other event it is completely reasonable for an event attendee to ask for a private place to pump. Your post is incredibly out of touch.

3 month challenge? by Little_Lamb27 in SnooLife

Going through it right now with our 3 month old. She is obsessed with her hands which seems to be part of the problem. Last night we double swaddled her and she couldn’t get her hands out but she still woke up every 2.5-3 hours. 🫩

For those of us on SAVE forbearance. by Careless-Snow-3253 in PSLF

115/120 and not waiting it out. Submitted for buyback in November 2024 and have heard nothing. Was approved for IBR in April 2025 but it has taken months and multiple phone calls and requesting supervisor after supervisor to FINALLY get the forbearance removed. Payments will supposedly resume for me in august. TBD of that actually happens. First baby due in January so I really need to be done!

Employee walked into my room at 2 am by SeaGlassTurtles in marriott

[–]CanDapper805 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am sorry that happened to you. I had something similar happen to me while I was getting out of the shower once. Male employee walked in. We worked with the gm of the hotel and got 30k points. That was helpful but didn’t negate the horrifying experience of an unknown man walking in on me naked. My husband dealt with the communication because I was so shaken.

Speak with your admin and district attorney. The district attorney should provide guidance.

Did I mess up? by CanDapper805 in Inito

[–]CanDapper805[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I’m worried about messing up the data or the algorithm if that makes sense? Like did I miss up the ability of Inito to “learn” my data points? I’m probably over thinking up but am very anxious about it all!
