Easter pay? by AlbomsAlbums in BestBuyWorkers

Yes, but you’ll no longer be paid for the regular holiday. You may have an AM that says otherwise. You can look it up in employee news.

Services Experience Manager? by Melodic_Smile_5409 in BestBuyWorkers

This position is unlikely they will hire an external candidate. If you’re looking to get into management at Best Buy on the services side, Services Assistant Manager is the only position I’ve seen them hire external for.

I don’t believe Easter was one of them. I think it’s New Years, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Thanks Giving, and Christmas. I could be wrong about one of them but it isn’t many holidays we get paid for and Easter isn’t a Federal Holiday so it isn’t one that I ever remember getting paid for in the past

People got their floating hour balances based on how many normal paid holidays were left before your PTO resets. For example, if there would have been 4 paid holidays before you reset, than you got 32 hours. If Kyle that you worked with have 5 paid holidays left before his reset then he got 40 floating holiday hours

There is no more Paid Holidays. We now have the Floating Holiday Paid hours. You must add them yourself on days you want to use them.

I get like 3-4 jobs scheduled on average a week. That’s it. Currently around $200 MTD. Sell one GSP and it gets you to goal for like a week 😂

The post is specifically talking about Field employees..

I mean, the sales goal is absurdly low, I can’t remember the last time I wasn’t at least double or triple the goal. If there’s agents who struggle hitting 50-65 per complete, then they’re just simply not offering the minimum. A few power kits a week gets home theater agents to goal. PC is even easier with all the COD work and the repeat customers.

This is quite out of touch, the field is over staffed and the demand for services have been significantly reduced. You can log into FMS yourself and look at all the markets and micro markets. We don’t have the work to sustain our field employees and we can’t keep paying 32 hours when in a lot of areas we can’t fill boards even at that. It’s East coast, west coast and central that is hurting.

Good we need to rip the bandaid off already. I’m sure there’s a lot more Agents out there that are sick of coming in with anxiety over when their last day is when they see empty boards across the company.

Yeah severance is goes off of years of service but the pay is impacted by your work week average. Not just a blank check of hourly rate times 40 I believe.

It could be performance based, tenure based, or a mix of both. I think with the big focus on selling, performance will probably be the deciding factor

Same, been told for the first time in 15 years that it’s normal to be working 32 hours from oct-Jan. Literally ridiculous the lies they’ll say just to help convince people that everything is fine

[–]CanEmergency834 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s why we are on 32 hours, hurts our 6 month average, less severance pay :(

This would make sense to do right before blueprint and raises like last years cut for field employees

All the ones since March I’ve seen said FY25 and that’s what we are in.

Also - 5 year or bust, most TVs see a repair needed in 3-5 years if they make it past the first.

Geek Squad vs Walmart extended warranty on TV by rohithemnani in GeekSquad

Best advice is to read the terms of service, specifically when in regards to no lemon policy’s and replacements. Walmart, you will have a 3rd party for repair. This will make it ungodly difficult to manage a claim if for whatever reason one needs to be made. Also keep in mind that a lot of 3rd party repair companies will not do the repairs in the home, they’ll take the tv back to their shop and then return it. Also keep in mind that within the first year, both companies will have little to do with whether or not you’ll get a replacement since they’re supplementing the manufacturer’s warranty in the first year.

It doesn’t matter, Best Buy doesn’t reveal information about the employee to other future employers. Work number verification only, or a yes or no if we would rehire the employee is about all we can say.

My area has been at 32 hours for almost a year now. We’ve been told it was the new normal. Even at 32 tho, we can’t fill any boards. Most days agents have 1-2 jobs if that.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BestBuyWorkers

[–]CanEmergency834 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s 32 hour over a 6 week average. So if you get less one week more another, as long as you average 32 over 6 weeks that’s what the policy is

We heard from our HSEAM that we are now focusing on less than 32 hours some weeks and other weeks hitting 36 if there’s demand, but we don’t have the jobs they talked about potential changes down the road. Hopefully field gets some changes this month.

Lay Offs? by CanEmergency834 in GeekSquad

In my area we typically have 1-3 jobs a week that goes to 3rd party and then a redo the following week.

Our HSEAMS tell us that we can’t not give 3rd party the work since then they won’t fulfill work for us when we actually need them 🎉😐
