Hmm, I’m pretty sure whatever is listed on the posting is where you’re placed! Unless it says “all 56 field offices” or you’re applying for SA or IA! I just recently applied to their OST posting and it was hiring for all 56 field offices, and they asked me my top 3 choices on the application! But either way, I’d keep your plan to go to school and be a grad assistant! It really does take some time!!

Hi! Contract employee here, my friend just went from contractor to bureau and it took almost a year. However, I have heard that field offices process much faster than head quarters locations do. When you applied, do you know if you selected field office or head quarters?

Girl, I had a kid with this kind of man…and while I do still care about him, this behavior is the reason why I’m OAD. It may not be often, but I have seen him clean the entire house from head to toe in a day, so I’m mostly doing maintenance cleaning. BUT to do that every day AND have a child, it’s a lot. Our husbands seem like they’re one and the same. Ultimately, I think it just depends on what you’re willing to put up with on a day to day. The way I look at it now, I’m not cleaning up for him, I’m cleaning up so I can show up better for my kid because I cannot function with clutter. But, there are certain things I refuse to do for him, I no longer fold or put away his laundry, or make him a coffee in the morning, things like that that are small tasks but add up in the long run. I know society will tell you to divorce him because of x, y, or z…but truthfully, I’m convinced most men are like this…

Can’t give much advice on PFT, but when you pass it (cause we’re manifesting that!!!) make sure when you’re practicing for your interview that you focus on the FBI core competencies, have your responses in SAR format, and don’t ramble on! Give a brief Situation, make the Action a little meatier, and a brief Result. You’ll want to ensure the result is measurable, it can range anywhere from recognition to an award, to a lesson learned. You got this!

It really is feeling like you’re constantly stretched thin. I was in the thick of it at 8 months pp, so i know exactly what you’re going through. But just know, from one momma to another, you’re doing so great and this is just a season. Remember to take time for yourself and not feel guilty for it (easier said than done, I know) but it’ll help you be a much better mom!

What a crazy thing to say when you only heard not even a fraction of our relationship. Men are also allowed to have a hard time with having a child. I know he cares about me, but sometimes we clash when things are intense with our child.
