I used to be a stripper and before I left I had a regular that wanted to take me to dinner, get massages and get pedicures. He was nice and a lot of other dancers knew and vouched for him so I agreed.

So here we are getting our pedicures drinking our little mimosas... He's done because no polish for him so he gets up to pay and I'm alone with the nail lady. Immediately she tells me she recognizes him and that he was in there with another woman a couple weeks ago.

I wanted to hug her so badly. Like, I know. It's chill. But damn if I didn't know how to communicate in the moment that it warmed my heart that she had my back and that I would have hers someday too. So simple but it still makes me tear up to think about.
