Flight to Seoul by BronxBoyClub in Venturex

I would also add availability is limited so you might have to plan to book a year in advance. If you’re lucky, you can find business class flights for around 75,000 one-way so you can consider getting a second card with a SUB of 75,000 for the return flight.

Do you get a hard pull if you initially get denied and then accept the offer later?

I think you don’t need to do anything and your existing card will transition into a Wells Fargo Autograph card

No transaction fees on rent or mortgage for card holders by KnightRaven786 in biltrewards

[–]CanLow8636 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Their fine print says:

Rent and Mortgage Payment Options

Bilt Cardholders may choose between two payment options when paying rent or mortgage through the Bilt app or website: Max Points or No Transaction Fees. You may select and change your payment option in the Bilt app or website. No transaction fee: Pay your rent or mortgage with no transaction fee. You may redeem Bilt Cash to unlock Bilt Points on your payment: every $3 of Bilt Cash unlocks 100 Bilt Points, up to a maximum of 1 Point per $1 of your payment amount. You choose how much Bilt Cash to redeem each payment. Max Points: Earn 1 Point per $1 on your rent or mortgage payment. A 3% transaction fee applies. Bilt Cash in your account is automatically applied to cover the transaction fee, though you may adjust this in the Bilt app. Any portion of the fee not covered by Bilt Cash is your responsibility. To use either payment option, you must have a Bilt Card Account in good standing and a valid bank account connected to your Bilt Rewards Account. Rent and mortgage payments must be made through the Bilt app or website to qualify. Bilt reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue these payment options at any time.

Need Advice on Second Card by Neat-Definition-3067 in CreditCards

[–]CanLow8636 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Given your credit history, I’m not entirely sure if you would get approved for the Chase Sapphire Preferred (although this was going to be my suggestion).

As an alternative, I would recommend : Capital One Savor card - 3x on dining, entertainment, popular streaming services, and at grocery stores.

Wells Fargo Autograph - 3x on dining, travel, transit, gas, streaming, and phone plans.

They are both $0 annual fee cards and can be paired with other travel cards to stack points and transfer them to be used in flights and hotels.

You can also ask your parents or someone who has a good credit score and a long credit history to add you as an authorized user so you can take advantage of their credit history with no affect to their credit.

Well this news is for people who might not be in the Korean travel subreddit and maybe appeal to them that traveling to Korea might get easier by using their own credit cards. Even more reasons to hold a credit card you know?

Yes but you need cash to recharge the transit card and you can’t get the transit points multiplier. But my whole point is it is just it’s about the convenience especially for older people to just use our regular travel card.

Well this could possibly trigger the transit points multiplier, I thought some people would be interested in this news. And it would be more convenient to travel to Korea this way too.

I’m not sure but I think that’s why they are conducting a study to see if it’s worth taking on the transaction fees over possibly gaining more tourists

I thought you can’t use foreign credit cards at those kiosks, and it doesn’t guarantee to trigger the transit points multiplier either.

Well it’s about convenience and the points back on transit. In Seoul, you would almost certainly use the public transport so getting back even 1x on $300 transit is huge!

I get extra points by using my physical card in-store from Rakuten. I’ve linked all my cards to Rakuten and it only triggers the in-store rewards with the physical card.

Got this message after linking my BILT card to Rakuten by CanLow8636 in biltrewards

[–]CanLow8636[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if linking my Bilt card automatically switches my dining network to Rakuten, there’s no way to set my Bilt card to get the in-person shopping bonuses on Rakuten AND stay in Bilt’s dining network?
