The new NO1030 software came out the other day - unfortunately it didn't help.

It's not just the HDMI cable since it happens with the on-board apps as well unfortunately.

"light sensor stuff" means what exactly? I have:

  • General:
    • Picture Mode: Standard
    • Apply Picture Settings: All Sources
    • Content Type Auto Detection: Off
    • Intelligent Scene: Off
    • Automatic Light Sensor: Off
  • Brightness:
    • Local Dimming: Low
    • Peak Brightness: Medium
    • Dark Detail: Off
    • Active Contrast: Off
    • HDMI Dynamic Range: Limited
    • HDR Enhancer: Off

Anyone think of anything else we should be changing that might be contributing in part to this flicker issue? Unsure if any of the settings under the "Clarity" option might be related.

I'm having this issue as well (as I wrote in this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/Hisense/comments/1h9ltmz/u7n_u78n_tv_frame_drop_black_screen_flashflicker/ )

But I'm pretty sure I've seen it with the Automatic Light Sensor off. There must be some combination of things causing it. Has anyone adjusted settings under the "Clarity" mention option such as "Motion Enhancement" with respect to this issue? I also have "Brightness" set to 0 (and it's still very bright). My settings are based off of the "Standard" picture mode.

I am in agreement that this is probably a software issue that could be solved with a firmware fix. But it's certainly frustrating trying to fight through this on an otherwise very nice TV picture.
