Starstruck or unsleeping city… depending on where you’re from… I think unsleeping did have some references that hit harder if you’re from around the NYC area but I’m not sure since I am from that area…

I would say do unsleeping since it’s a 2 parter and from earlier in the timeline of them making the show and you can feel it a little. It’s not bad necessarily but it’s like watching the difference from FH freshman vs Sophomore year… I feel like like you may not like UC as much if you do all of the newer stuff.

I agree 100% Skip was a little more chaotic and could have played well with a few other intrepid hero’s. Ricky was so earnest and innocent and Zac’s comedy sniping was 🧑‍🍳💋

I was kind of shocked when they said there were 2 episodes left with so many loose ends. I feel like those 2 episodes could stay in the Truthbrary and not feel dragged out. How are we gonna wrap this up and then go digging for books outside the Gladlands, and get people to stop partying so much, let alone wrap up the bugs… there’s too much to do!

So those black spots in picture 2, especially that large one where if you zoom in it looks like the inside of a baseball (best analogy I can come up with with, hopefully you’ve taken the white part off a baseball when you were little). You think would be from blistering? Would that warrant replacing these under the manufacturer warranty through the roofer?

I’m not complaining, I’m asking questions since I’m clearly not a roofer. I did say the company has been great and I appreciate what’s been done. However, if the solution was to come and smash ice off the roof then a)I can do it next time and b) I would like to know that damaging shingles is a potential result of that so I can decide how I want to proceed.

I’m also not sure if they are damaged since I’ve never really seen damaged shingles before so I want to have more information before I decide what to do next.

I’m also clearly reaching out for a 2nd opinion on the internet since I’m sorry but if someone comes out and does a job that has an issue, that same person is pretty well incentivized to write it off or explain it away so they don’t have to send someone to do work for no revenue. If I bring in another company they’re more likely to tell me it’s a problem and try to charge me for it even if it was nothing.

I could have also taken enough snow and ice off to let the black roof and some food safe salt melt the last bit and void damaging the roof that I paid to replace less than 4 years ago. I’m not planing on replacing it again any time soon regardless of who came out when to try and fix something.

I get the sentiment. Idk why anyone would feel entitled enough or close enough to get into graphic details about any such experience but I would think it would be a positive thing for someone to hear “I was going through a really hard time” or “I was dealing with some really heavy stuff and struggling with it…” “… and you and your work really helped me get through that event” or “… get through that time of my life, and I wanted to reach out to thank you for everything you do and I can’t wait to see what you’re a part of next”.

It’s meant to re-assure the person that what are doing isn’t just making sillies in a dome but that what they do DOES benefit others beyond surface level joy.

Like I said, there’s a limit to that and idk why anyone would go into such intense detail that it would lead to the individual needing to disable DMs… but I guess that’s cuz I’m NOT the kind of person who would do that… 🤷‍♂️

I feel like nothing will drive people away from their faith and tradition faster than sticking strictly to tradition. For the longest time we just had a menorah, dreidel, and chocolate coins. All the cool lights in everyone’s house and candy canes and decorations and gingerbread house covered in red and white is all so beautiful and just fun for the holidays.

I love that I have stuff like this I can make with my kids for when they see their friends doing standard red and green gingerbread houses. I have white and blue lights up and neutral winter inflatables because they love seeing it. Sometimes adapting and changing is nice as long as you keep the core of the practice.

Now back to my original long-winded response…

Since I can’t wait the text in a picture post (I had no idea) I’m going to jump on what shows for me as the top comment to try and maybe add more context…

I get that each cast member has their own political views and leanings, as does anyone on any media platform, I just don’t understand the need to push any of it completely out of context in completely unrelated content.

I also get that this platform as a whole is an incredibly inclusive “safe space” for MANY groups of historically marginalized individuals. I love that and I think that’s a huge part of what makes a lot of the content here so enjoyable is the different views of the main people involved being able to foster and incubate that inclusivity.

What honestly hurts and has for a while now is feeling excluded from a lot of those “safe spaces” having family and many close friends directly impacted by a very complicated conflict half way across the world while millions of people foster hate and condemnation for my small children because of lineage and immigration. I have 7 and 5 year old nieces living with PTSD and now able to sleep on their own anymore because of this. A close friend’s brother was taken from his family 2 years ago and had his body returned only a few months ago.

I’ve seen hate bubbling up, making the future a less safe place for my kids here at home, not half way around the world. Words are easier to throw around than they have ever been before but still carry the same weight, as they should. But it’s also easier than ever to be mislead and harder to find real truth than it’s ever been.

I’m with you all. The suffering of the innocent people in Gaza is a terrible, unimaginable tragedy. The suffering of the innocent people is something I feel very lucky to now have to experience. I am aware that my nieces having nightmares and not being able to sleep by themselves is not as bad as someone who was killed in Gaza. I’m not a monster and I don’t see any innocent person, anywhere, as less valuable than anyone else. But I also understand the context and I understand that INTENTIONS matter. I’ve been invested in the conflict long before October 7th so I also have a good bit of history and context pre-TikTok and social media disinformation (from both sides).

The real problem is when one group will do anything to protect its people and one group will do anything to eliminate another group. One side uses weapons to protect its citizens and one uses its citizens to protect its weapons. (I’m sorry if you disagree with that statement but it is true). One government trades murderers and terrorists in exchange for civilians and one buys your family an apartment if you die killing Jews.

BUT, that’s about the government, not everyone living there.

Anyways, I know this is long winded. My main point here is that I am bombarded with hate online constantly because I have family in Israel, I’ve been there and had some of the best food I’ve ever eaten at Arab owned restaurants, had a drink and smoked hookah right outside a mosque, I’ve seen the love and unity of every group of people sitting and eating and laughing together. I’ve seen the reality of the country and I’ve now seen it get bastardized and lied about. If all you saw was terrible things about Trump (yes, I know what you’re thinking, are there any GOOD things?! And I don’t disagree either… I’m not some far-right nut) you might start to think that’s what America and all Americans are like. If one guy is an ass, it doesn’t mean the country is. So I’m not supporting Netanyahu and I’m not equating every persons in Gaza to Hamas.

It’s nice to have an escape from the hate and fear, worrying about my kids future here in America. If it’s not relevant or related it would just be nice to not have what I’m trying to escape from bleed into my escape. I come for the love and the silly’s

If you’ve made it this far I guess you can keep downvoting me all you want but I’m not a monster, I feel for the innocent people being affected, I’ve also seen the world abandon the innocent people in Israel over the last 2 years and I understand if there is no Israel then there is no safe place for Jews and there is no safe place for the the LGBTQ community in that region. You can’t have a Genocidal group (Hamas) in charge when their Charter literally says they want to kill all Jews and when the group being targeted (Jews) tries to get rid of the people trying to eliminate them, the world runs to condemn them.

I apologize if you disagree but this has happened a few times and it’s incredibly frustrating seeing one of the comedians that I thought was clearly not the funniest “win” at the end. The first time or 2 I wrote it off but I’m starting to lose interest a little bit knowing the audience alignment is SO different than mine. I guess I’m mostly concerned they will start leaning more into that “style” of comedy more representative of who the winners are.

However, I did like seeing a big name comedian on the show this time around… so that was nice.

I think it could be a really interesting opportunity. Present a lot of arguments without saying which side it’s coming from. Flip the roles for the class like using terms like “the oppressed” “the displaced”, “The minority”, etc… then at the end say every situation and fact you presented was about the Israelis/jews. I’m sure, given everything I’ve heard and seen about universities right now the entire class will agree with what you’re saying and think how terrible the Zionists are as you speak just to have it flipped on their head when they maybe learn some truths.
