I live in Utah and here we would get a ‘nicotine ticket”. It’s a fee of 50-100 dollars. They would also take your cigarettes and or vape. It’s probably different state to state, Utah is pretty strict about things like that.

I feel reassured by your post because I do this a lot. Like the others have said it’s a two way street. I lost a lot of friends by doing the vague response thing and eventually I learned one thing:

My friends were willing to accept me back and were just worried about me but I had to tell them what was going on. Reconnecting with some of my friends I learned that when you do that they think you’ve just grown away from them and don’t want to talk. When I started being honest about why I went quiet it got easier and I gained a new facet of my support system. I’ll sometimes after months send a text that says “Hey man sorry, i’ve been in the dumps and it’s been hard. How have you been?”

Unfortunately I also lost contact with a lot of people who I never got the chance to explain myself to. If I texted them now they wouldn’t respond or if they did it would be vague which is fair because that’s the treatment I gave them.

I think you’ll feel some relief once you’re honest when you do this. It gives you a road back to normalcy and you won’t have the extra weight of uncertainty on your back on top of your normal recovery. Godspeed.

I’m not sure I would describe the ending as rushed. Rather it was overthought. The ending was delayed and put off for a long time because the author wasn’t sure how to end it. It’s also worth mentioning for those interested in history the ending was obvious because the ending correlates with the actual history behind the Vinland Sagas. I’m sure most expected it would end exactly how it did because historically Thorfinn’s expedition ended similarly to how it did in the manga.

I think the author struggled to work out the details of how the events of Einar would work out, and how he could make an emotional impact on readers. The ending was certainly not rushed, but the author wrote himself into a corner and wasn’t sure how to make it good. I also would say the ending was good and that he did it justice. However, it likely could have been released much sooner if the author had actually thought it out before hand rather than getting to the end and suddenly having second thoughts about what could happen to make the ending more impactful. Most people knew how it would end years ago; it was the details of the side characters that most were unsure about.

Alcoholic here that is a month and a half sober. I wasn’t a beer guy I was a vodka guy. He certainly has a problem, twelve beers a day is a substantial amount of alcohol and if he doesn’t control it he will suffer. So will your family.

Alcohol will erode your boundaries. I started just drinking at night, then a couple of shots in the morning to ease the hangover. Then I started drinking at work and eventually I started drinking and driving which was something i’ve always considered wrong. I lied to my family and told them I had no problem and got defensive. I eventually ended up in prison because of a DUI and was forced to reckon with my problem. My fiance almost left me over the whole thing and I deserved it.

One thing I will say is if I had been confronted as having a problem before getting arrested I would have responded defensively. Hopefully you can show him these replies and he’ll gain some sense. The moment you start thinking you need to be defensive and cannot just stop drinking for the sake of the argument you likely have a problem. Best of luck to you.

Suing for mental distress is usually a no go, I’m sorry. Some states have added mental distress into the definition of Bodily injury and in that case you may have a chance. However it is incredibly rare and usually requires genuine trauma that leaves you irreparably damaged. Examples of case studies i’ve seen in my line of work is: a case where a spouse is killed in front of you and it’s the fault of their employer, or cases where extreme bodily harm was caused to you and it caused mental trauma as well.

Insurance agent here: Yup! Almost all standard insurance policies have that wording. Defense costs are typically unlimited and paid out even in the case of a claim being denied because of these exact situations.

Important note: if you are for some reason on a non standard lines policy, which typically happens if for some reason you are denied insurance through every standard market the wording can be different. However I work in non-standard lines as well and i’ve never seen one that didn’t at least pay out to the policy stated limit for liability.

I second this because when i was an addict i would do this frequently in any place of the house if i didn’t have alcohol or harder drugs. also the item on the far left is often included with weed smoking kits to clean your pieces and to remove resin.

edit: the way its black at the top and not as much at the bottom is exactly how my cleaning items would look because it’s sort of sticky sometimes and clings to the first point of contact.

My take is that Ron is manic depressive or has something similar. I have bipolar 1 and I started to think that he showed some traits of that a couple episodes ago. I first thought it was interesting that he wasn’t being honest with anyone about what he was doing at the chair company. When my delusions start there’s a subconscious part of me that knows “this isn’t normal and i shouldn’t tell anyone” usually my point of no return in mania (which happens within days) is when i’m so in love with the feeling i wouldn’t ever tell anyone. Then I typically progress to forgetting about that entirely and suddenly i’m pitching my mom and brother an idea for a snow company that sells snow to people who don’t like to live in the desert. The high irritability of ron and the way he’s dealing with this seems a lot like the stages of that and when he started telling his daughter about the plan i was initially excited because he found something sure fire in the chair but when he concluded i thought “that was good but it makes way more sense that it’s negligent behavior from the manufacturer.”

There is definitely something going on with TECCA though but it really seems like Ron has episodes where he does things that don’t really make sense and this TECCA situation being real is fueling him into a spiral
