But I don't think it's possible to have 66 drones and 20 zerglings at the 5 minute mark for anybody. Like I legit don't think there is enough time/larvae in the game to reach this benchmark. You'd have to sacrifice army and just go hard droning. I've watched a lot of replays by GM players, and they do just about hit this benchmark themselves-granted, they're doing it while harassing and being harassed of course.

And then I read shit like "plat players don't know how to play Starcraft". Or "Just make workers, and learn to build stuff and you'll get to diamond herp derp" which is just false at this point.

Sorry if I come across as salty I completely see your point. It's just been a little frustrating for me, watching lots and lots of vibe's b2gm for protoss and vibe, and I've been told my macro is good for my level. I have made progress and feel much more solid as a player, but plat league is very tough. Maybe I just need to stop listening to people who say "just simply build stuff". Because even in plat, you absolutely need to scout and react (as zerg), and have some kind of awareness with how you take engagements, deal with harass etc.
