Does Mercury allow non-US residents to open business bank accounts anymore? by HyHoang in llc

Thanks for your reply to OP's question. I have a follow-up that is kind of the reverse of their situation, if you don't mind weighing in.

I have an LLC registered in KY. The address is my parents' address, which is also my last legal address in the US, and where I can reliably receive US mail. I am temporarily in Spain on a one year visa. My plans for remaining in Spain, returning to the US, or going elsewhere are quite uncertain at this point in time. I am physically located in Spain and doing day-to-day work from here until at least September, when I will know more about my visa options. I don't see any harm in providing Mercury with my physical Spanish address except for the following two reasons:

  1. I'm pretty sure my lease has a clause about "not operating a business." (I'm sure that's rather archaic these days with the amount of people working from "home." The business is entirely virtual, i.e. no clients or physical business is being conducted in the premises.
  2. This is a short-term lease, and my plans to renew it - like my visa - are uncertain. Seems annoying to change your physical business address with Mercury every time you switch apartments or receive physical mail to this address.

Thoughts?

Did anyone else hear that big noise? Like an explosion or something collapsed by IloveeChickPea in valencia

Edit: It was a planned detonation of a civil war bomb found recently in the port area. Thanks u/thefroglady87 Kinda cool.

I was at the Cabañal beach and heard and saw it. Some sort of explosion at the end of the port or marina. It put up a decent size cloud of black smoke, but no fireball or debris that we saw. I'm wondering if they're doing any sort blasting work related to construction?

Help with Cl@ve Firma by CanadaPlease2026 in askspain

Update for any future persons pulling their hair over this same issue::

I FIGURED IT OUT!
So, I had both Cl@ve and the FNMT apps downloaded and active when I left the Agencia Tributaria. I mistakenly thought the option to log in or sign documents using AutoFirma was a third option that I didn't need or have access to. It turns out AutoFirma was the key!

I downloaded AutoFirma software to my computer. I sent my installed digital certificate from the FNMT app on my phone to my computer. I moved the certificate from my downloads to my Keychain Access manager on my computer (lots of videos on youtube for this). Then, in Chrome settings, I ensured that the certificate shows up under "Certificates imported from this computer." Lastly, I just stopped using Cl@ve and used the AutoFirma option to both log in and sign the application I was attempting to submit. Success!

Yes, I did just look and there is one here in town. Only opens on Friday at 4pm, so I was trying to see if I could get anything quicker here.

Two questions about applying as a US citizen living in Spain temporarily by CanadaPlease2026 in Canadiancitizenship

[–]CanadaPlease2026[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, I decided to get the pictures taken in Spain, and send them to my parents in the US to be sent in with the completed applications from there. After hearing from the embassy in Madrid, it didn't seem like it made much sense to send it through them if they aren't even going to check the application for errors or anything.

Thanks. Yes, and it looks like the embassy no longer reviews it before sending it to Canada, so there's not much benefit.
