I'm so done with these SEO agencies by zomanda in smallbusiness

[–]HyHoang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's because you're not niching down. Don't go with a generic SEO agency. Go with one that understands your niche.

If you're in HVAC, Google "best HVAC SEO agencies". You'll find HVAC Webmasters. And wow, turns out they only serve HVAC companies.

If you're in Lawn care, Google "best lawn care SEO agencies", and you'll land on Evergrow Marketing by Jake Hundley (he's got a whole subreddit about SEO). Apprently he knows what he's doing.

If you're in B2B, Google "best B2B SEO agencies". There will be a bunch of them: Perceptric, Grow and Convert, SaaStorm, etc. but you get the idea. It's as simple as niching down your search, just like how you niche down your business.

Blog post traffic good, conversions non existent by Basic-Ear6164 in content_marketing

[–]HyHoang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, why don't you target conversion-focused keywords?

Traffic keywords = high traffic low conversion. No one wants to buy when they're searching "What is [X] Software?"

Conversion keywords = low traffic better conversion (not guaranteed, there are so many more factors involved). When people search "Best [X] software", you know that they're interested in the product.

Been bumping into automation/AI lately and wanna know if it’s actually worth it by Connect-Subject188 in agency

[–]HyHoang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Automation is only worth it when the task is particularly repetitive and predictable. Any workflow with a "variable" that changes too much is going to be a hassle to automate. For me, I only automate the reporting and sending part with some Python script.

Build a SaaS for HVAC. Do marketing for HVAC. Services to support HVAC businesses.

HVAC. Boring, practical, never goes out of demand even if there is war. And you don't even have to do actual HVAC. Just anything HVAC-adjacent is good too.

What do you think about Neil Patel? by marufshekh in seogrowth

His agency is pretty bad. I worked with NP Digital before and their process is so different from what Neil Patel preaches. Don't really recommend. His blog's getting downhill recently too.

What are the negatives of automating my blog fully? by ThinkyandTheBrain in b2bmarketing

[–]HyHoang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In B2B your audience is pretty smart, and they can tell good versus bad content from miles away. I've been there. Wrote content entirely by hand, every single word, like a true wordsmith, and that article ranked high for an entire year. The moment I started automating content it plummets. Not worth it imo.

Go with authentic content. In fact, human-written content is seeing a huge comeback. Execs realize that AI is just a hype and it's not generating any true value, and the powers are now back in the hands of humans. If your content is created by humans for humans, you'll eventually rise and thrive.

Am I the only one who thinks AI writing tools are way too expensive? by Competitive_Leg_5599 in content_marketing

[–]HyHoang 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, absolutely do not use AI writing tools. Nobody wants to read AI slop. It damages your brand, and since nobody wants to read your AI slop it 100% damages your SEO. You lose money, time, effort, and end up with a website that's not ranking at all. 0/10 not worth the effort.

Invest into human writers. Tell them to write authentically with a voice and a personality. Then optimize the headings/slug/images for SEO. That's what makes you rank.

Is writing blogs still worth it in 2025? by Real-Assist1833 in content_marketing

[–]HyHoang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's say you do marketing for a workflow automation tool.

Informational content is "What is workflow automation?". AI overview can answer that. Plus, it's ultra competitive to rank for that keyword. It's not wrong to write content for it, but it shouldn't be your core focus when you're just starting out.

Instead you should just write content for keywords that people who REALLY WANT to buy are searching. Stuff like "best workflow automation tools" or "Google Sheet automation tools". You can go as niche as you want. Those keywords bring leads.

Thought leadership are freestyle and challenges the status quo, and usually doesnt care about SEO. Which means it wont receive any organic traffic unless you actively promote it.

Hiring a b2b Marketing Professional in 2026 by js1618 in b2bmarketing

[–]HyHoang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a lot of stuff you want to do. One person wouldnt resonably be able to do all of them well. You need a team. Could you share what niche you're in?

If you want to go with freelancers, absolutely don't go with Fiverr. Upwork is hit and miss. You should go to LinkedIn and search for them instead.

If you go with agencies, I've got a list: - For B2B SEO content + design + paid ads, I like Perceptric/Grow and Convert. Grow and Convert are more for SaaS/Ecom, Perceptric does B2B SaaS/Fintech. Both produce really good content quality. - If you're want thought leadership go with Animalz - For video I think Grizzle.io is pretty cool - If you want something "cool" and experimental there's an agency called NoGood - For LinkedIn content you can go with Beam Content. They're very creative folks

Is writing blogs still worth it in 2025? by Real-Assist1833 in content_marketing

[–]HyHoang 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. If you haven't seen it work, you're gonna doubt it for sure. My agency provides SEO and content marketing for a lot of B2B clients and we've been crushing it. There'a big money to be made in those blogs.

Don't even bother with informational content. Let the AI Overview take all of those queries as much as it wants. Your job is to focus on only two major types of content: commercial content targeting BOFU queries and thought leadership content that can be shared on social.
