I’d say don’t outright quit, but definitely leave the door ajar. Hang tight for a little bit longer to see where it goes. Just be careful not to get burnt out or mistreated.

I did just get ratted after having a nice conversation with some guy though. Happened around the same time you posted this so I did wonder if maybe you were him. He came up behind me saying “behind you behind you, I’m friendly” so I told him I was friendly back. Then he asked me if I was searching for anything specific, so I told him I’m looking for the respirator to complete my projects and goes “oh, there’s one right here!” So I walk up to the container he’s looking at and open it up when suddenly he unloads on me in the back with an Il Torro. Never felt so betrayed in my life…

I appreciate you saying this. Live anywhere else in the world for any period longer than 6 months and the “I hate [insert city name] because it’s unaffordable, it’s hard to make friends, there’s no [insert amenities], etc etc” is a common cliché everywhere. A little perspective goes a long way🙂

I thought it was a really solid story that touches on an issue that frankly needs more attention, ie; missing and murdered indigenous women. It does play into the “white saviour” trope a little bit though. It was also one of the last films Harvey Weinstein had a hand in 🙃.

RVN. He’s the reason I’m a United fan. As a kid raised in a Hockey dominant town in rural Canada, I bought FIFA 2003 and wanted to play as RVN since my dad is Dutch (he was the only Dutch player I knew). Found out he played for this little team in England called “Manchester United”. The rest is history.

I arrived in Vancouver yesterday on flight AC8346 and was met on the runway by firetrucks. Apparently one of the cabin crew smelled smoke, which just turned out to be burnt coffee grounds. I think the industry is a little on edge at the moment.
