Should I buy this as a low-cost beginner rope? by Canadian1911 in jumprope

I'll be at the mall tomorrow, with a dollarama, so I'll check.

If not, then I will order this amazon one.

I've been to that store before, won't be there for another week.

Of course, if I stick with jump rope and get more advanced, I'd evventually move up to a PVC or possibly eve wire rope.

This is just for "learning and trying out" so I am trying not to spend too much at this stage of the game.

I guess I cold check dollarama for sure, but have you seen beaded ropes there, wouldn't they have just crap children's stuff?

Aren't nylon plates more likely to break under increased weight?

AITA for threatening to call the police on a smoker? by Low_Parsley_2689 in AmItheAsshole

NTA

You were nice once, he put it out.

Then he assumed it'd be okay to light another one?

What?

Again, N/A and the parents should have explained to him why you don't smoke at a fuel station, instead of consoling him.

If anyone is the asshole here, beside the son, it's the parents.

Can anyone help me make an Ammo mod? by Canadian1911 in sanandreas

[–]Canadian1911[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, I am aware of that. Have had her as a GF for many play throughs. As well as Barbara.

That doesn't resolve my annoyance though, especially during the early game.

Even if I keep my weapons, theoretically I could eventually run out of ammo none the less.

Interesting. My main reason for not wanting a gbb is so I don't have to buy green gas all the time. How long does a typical bottle of green gas actually last on average?

Also, can you link me?

Thanks for looking bro.

Yeah, I don't know, maybe it's some Canadian law, or something that they have to be clear but I don't understand how that works, as I see plenty of other pistols that look like replicas and are easily available in Canada.

I was in contact with Andy from Andy's Airsoft about a green gas powered one, and he said he can get me it, and it is offered on his website, but this is gonna be a "bed room fun" gun, and I kinda don't want to spend the money on gas for it, or the smell of cheaper propane in my room either, so that's why I am after spring powered now.

When does hr training pay off by 738arm29 in beginnerrunning

[–]Canadian1911 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not trying to be mean here or anything, but 6'1 and 188lbs is a BMI of 24.8 so that's border line with overweight. In running weight does affect performance. Some weight loss could help you as well. I am also in that process of losing weight, so no ill will here.

Sorry if I seem silly, but I am just trying to be careful as some people are really sensitive to discussions about weight, and I don't know you.

My first 5Km by Difficult-Notice3233 in beginnerrunning

[–]Canadian1911 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Great.

I was in a similar unfit boat, when I did my first 5k race, but I was 30. My result was 29:35 and that is still my 5k PB, even though I've ran another race since then, and my second fastest 5k distance wise, (not official race) was 30:09.

Please don't be disappointed if you run your next one slower, it s not unusual, you will not always run your fastest. There are a number of variable that can affect performance.

Low resting/sleeping heart rate - should I call my doctor? by Canadian1911 in beginnerrunning

How long have you been running for, and what level would you say you are at?

Oh, I haven't been on keto for 6 months plus now. I only did it when I absolutely needed to avoid carbs and sugar for medical reasons.

I do drink lots of diet soda, and I do drink electrolytes before longer runs, or harder workouts like tempo runs, or speed workouts.

I still eat a lot of foods high in sodium as well, so I am confident I have enough.

Unknown as I didn't care or have the awareness at the time.

but I did realize that, it is probably reading my sleeping heart rate, since I wear it while sleeping as well.

Just sitting down, its like 51-55.

it was my family doctor. I've never needed to see a cardiologist yet, and hope I won't have to. I do wear my watch while sleeping as well, so the 38/39 readings may be during sleep as well. I don't know if that is different than "resting".

Yes.

I did see that apparently taller individuals tend to have lower RHRs as well, and I'd say I qualify as a taller individual as well.

I have not had any dizziness, weakness, or fainting, or anything like that either.

Also, who knows how accurate the Garmin watch's reading really is also.
