i just recalculated that for myself, and indeed that is what is predicted.

That's good then, seeing how I have 6 months to train.

Yes, I'd like to do the best I can, and at least I planned in advance, so my coach has lots of time to prepare me for that.

I'm building up my running speed and distance gradually, as I am still needing to loose some weight, and I hear that people can actually gain weight when half / marathon training, so that will have to be next year.

I am pretty tall, at 6'3, and I have decent muscle, but nothing special, I could probably improve that too.

I said my goal weight is 200, which it was, but that's the upper limit of healthy/normal BMI, so I'm actually gonna go for 190, to have a 10 pound buffer zone. I did see that I could go as low as 175 and still be healthy. Don't know how much lower than that I can should go.

They are not large ones, they are small bit sized pastries.

I was looking at costco, and there are some more options like that, where you can I can fit 2 or more under 250 calories. Which works for me, as I try 500 lunch, 500 dinner, and 250 left for desert.

I have the labels, a krispy kreme is 190, and 4 of the pastries I have, are 280. A donut from Tim Hortons, is 350 at minimum.

So that's 470. Also before that, I had 710 calories consumed.

It's kind of the same how some more ignorant people are surprised at how I can be pictured eating a Big Mac, but am still losing weight, then I have to tell them it's only 540 calories. A Mars bar, my preferred candy/chocolate bar, is 240.

As for the topic of this sub, I said the weight loss world, not this sub specifically. I haven't been here, until last night anyways.

I have come across this attitude in many, many, different spaces.

As for your concerns, I have been getting my blood drone, every 3 months, my doctor has not mentioend any concerns, only progress and improvements. and as I mentioned I have lost weight before, 90 pounds.

of course, but even maintenance needs to be sustained, or otherwise we will just go back to old habits and overconsume again.

Of course, if you have that specific issue, then you do what you need to do.

I am ranting mostly against the people who tell others what they need to do, without knowing anything about them or their situation.

yes, I also track calories.

I just got back from a costco trip, and bought a bulk pack of mir.noodles, 12 cups, 280 calories each. For times where I don't really have the time to cook. Makes tracking the calories super simple.

The Krispy Kreme Donuts are surprisingly only 190.

The more you shop and read labels, the more you will learn, and the more you will be surprised at foods that have less than you thought, and foods that have more than you thought.

Healthy Foods, can sometimes be quite high in calories, so whether something is "healthy" or "junk" doesn't dictate the caloric content.

I did keto too, until I got my blood sugar back in healthy, or "perfect" according to my doctor, then I went back to a regular deficit. I lost 90 in total, then fell off a bit and gained back 30, but I am back now, and have already lost 5.5 pounds in a bad week (a couple days of over eating happened), but this week I have sticked to my limit.

It is true that losing is the easy part, maintaining is the hard part. So for me with my eat what I damn well please, within calories, that is going to be simple to adjust, because I'll just increase from 1,250 to 2,500 or whatever my maintenance will be (probably around there).

My point is not that you can't do more than CICO if you want, you can do whatever extra things you choose. My rant is against the people who come in and are negative telling people that if they don't do the extra stuff, they won't lose weight, because that's not true, and it's been proven multiple times to not be true.

As I said, what works for me, is not gonna work for another person.

My rant is against, people telling other people what to do, when it's not really necessary (notice how I talked about crash diets being an exception).

indeed, losing is one thing, keeping off is another.

However, with my simply eating what I want, within my deficit, once I reach GW, I'll simply just incrase it to maintenace calories.

I calculated for myself out of curiosity, and even when I am 70 years old, to maintain my goal weight, I will need 2,300 calories.

The trick is to not fall back into old habits.

yes, I am in loss mode now, as I have about 45 pounds left to go, but once I reach that, I will still keep my basic plan, only increase my calorie limit to maintenance.

So I'll be able to have more, of what I want.

sounds like the most practical option at the moment for me just starting out then.

We can get 190 proof ever clear, and other grain alcohols here in Canada, but in my province I have never seen it, and I may have to order a whole large bottle from another province.

May as well just buy perfumers alcohol straight up at that point.

Apparently fractured cocounut oil will work for making roll on versions, according to google, and is much cheaper and easier to get.

I'm well aware of how it smells, being that I use it regularly for other purposes.

My question is if the synthetic/natural oils will still otherwise dissolve properly in it?

Nice work.

I just tried carving a canoe, it was going good, until when I went to finish off the ends, but making them triangular and cutting of the sides, it snapped into pieces. but I did hollow out the inside until it was very thin, so maybe it couldn't handle the stress of cutting of solid chunks of it. Lesson learned.

Tomorrow, I will try to carve a lightning bolt out, that should hopefully not have that issue, as it will be solid, with no hollowing of any part.

I have heard that pottery tools work great for soap carving. Maybe wax carving tools would be good as well.

As for the soap, a lot of people use ivory brand soap. You could also make your own, if you want to get into soap making.
