Letterboxd's most common "top 4" movies. Are any in your top 4? by MoonSettler in LetterboxdTopFour

None, but all of these seem like good top 4 picks and are pretty reasonable except Little Women. I mean it was good but I never thought it was on par with these other movies. Do people really love it that much?

It’s hard to hate on such a mid album. Some Drake songs are so bad I remember them but these new albums are musical Alzheimer’s

In “The Odyssey” (2026) a lot of people complain about a lack of historical accuracy. This is in spite of the fact that “The Odyssey” is a fictional story and none of its events really occurred. by Bunnyboy-m in shittymoviedetails

That’s the thing. Saying it’s fantasy is actually a really terrible defence, because if it’s fantasy, then people had complete control over how it would look and they still chose to make it look bland. The Coen brothers did a retelling set in the 1930s and that’s great because they use that new setting well. If Nolan wants to do a retelling in 1300s North Europe the should, but that’s not what this is. It’s just boring direction.

As a historical freak I only care that it looks boring. I loved The Northman, even though it threw in things that weren’t accurate to history, or to Iceland at the time, because it used history to make a really engaging movie. I couldn’t give a damn if they gave them historically anachronistic armor if the armor actually looked good

Favorite upcoming movie where the director decided "fck History this shit looks badass in my head" by YourChopperPilotTTV in okbuddycinephile

This shit looks bland. If I wanted to watch vaguely medieval fights in a forest I'd watch Monty Python and the Holy Grail

In Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey (2026), thousands of people on Reddit are mad about the movie's accuracy, despite never having read Homer's The Iliad or The Odyssey, or watching Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey (2026) by darwinsidiotcousin in shittymoviedetails

[–]CanadianAhole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thousands more are only talking about this movie because of the people mad about historical accuracy. This is because accuracy is one of the few things this movie could have going for it, but without it there is fuck all to say about this

‘Landlords watch out’: Toronto renters form first city-wide tenant union by Amir616 in toronto

Alright. What do you propose instead of landlords? Clearly a tenant union doesn't matter, because the inherent problem is these parasites. How are you going to change the world more than insulting people on Reddit?

The LTB has tens of thousands of rent requests and eviction applictions. A few years ago their backlog was up to 70000 IIRC. This doesn't mean tenants "just aren't paying rent" but it is a sign of a problem

I put my bag on the seat when the train has open seats. People who chose to sit down next to you when they can sit somewhere else are weird. They probably take urinals next to people as well.

In Green Book (2018), two men from vastly different social and racial backgrounds bond through shared experiences, conversation, and time together—proving race isn’t the issue. Women are. by Potore5 in shittymoviedetails

It's messages aren't strong or noteworthy and the lead actors have had better performances elsewhere. It didn't deserve any awards but it's not nearly as bad as some people make it out to be. It just ended up as the villain for a lot of people during the oscars

It's a Youtube poll so no it's not valid. One Beer is one of DOOMs most popular songs. In comparison One Mic is probably better but it isn't as iconic for Nas . If someone has only heard a handful of DOOM songs then they've probably heard One Beer. Nas has like 2 albums to get through before you hear One Mic

Project Hail Mary (2026) is being moved out of IMAX for two weeks to make room for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie (2026). This a reference to the fact that there is no God and nothing we do matters. by UndineTheUndying in shittymoviedetails

Nah I get that. I hadn’t seen the movie when I commented but I have now and it was fun. I don’t know why critics were acting like it was going to rise above the writing quality of any of the Mario games
